Because this nation is a Constitutional Republic, not an Oligarchy.

It's just the constitution, all men created equal. I would argue the janitors vote is more important because the taxes are much more of a burden on him then the rich. I mean you just said how easy your life is refilli ATMs and don't care if taxes went up.

Ok but how come in a business like the condo i mentioned, the votes are basically based on how much you spent. If you bought a 3 bedroom you paid more than a guy who bought a 2 bedroom so you got more votes as far as the condo board is concerned.

Can we agree that with that type of system, the republicans would win a landslide? As basically the majority of democrat voters combined wouldn't equal the top 10% of this country who would mostly be in favor of republican policies

I don't want my tax money going to the rich.

    they don't need it.

let them build their own private roads and infrastructure.

Why is a millionaires vote on what to do with his money equal to the school janitor's? Why should poor people have a say in what we do with the rich people's money? Why is a millionaires vote on what to do with his money equal to the school janitor's? the thing that's funny is if you guys were in my position or in texxx's position, I know 100% you would care less about the middle class and want to keep as much of your income as possible. We're both trolling each other bc you will never be in my shoes nor I in yours. So we should just agree to disagree

I don't want to poke fun at your misunderstanding of the electoral system and Constitution of your nation---

    but

Assuming America did a system where states were apportioned votes by income rather than by population...

Democrats would crush elections forever. Just take a look at the states with the highest median income.

it's just easy to point at rich people and hate them. Look at the ferrari, that guy has a small wang, that guy has napoleon complex, that guy is living out of his means. It's never look at the guy in the ferrari, I want to be like that and one day with hard work I can be like Eddie.

    To answer the original question...

Because the GOP keeps manufacturing crisis after crisis in an attempt to make Obama look like a poor leader.

Again quantity wouldn't matter...in reference to NY....you really think the wall street crowd who absolutely makes up a nice chunk of income in that state would vote for the party who constantly berates and belittles them?

Of course all the poor and irrelevant of which NY has plenty, sure they'd continue to vote D, but in a system like I outlined, their vote wouldn't count so much as a hedge fund manager or I-bankers vote alone would equal neighborhoods worth

So all these fast food franchises that cost $2M+, all these gas stations that cost $2M+, all these restaurants that cost $250k+ to build out.....those are all built by the middle class $65k/year joe schmo?

small businesses that stay open for more than a year cost money to open, sure anyone can get an SBA loan but 90% of small businesses fail in the first year, the ones not backed by alot of capital. Where does capital come from again? The middle class?? The lower class???
