I liked how the way the Nazi gang went out sort of paralleled how the Cartel gang in Mexico went out (with the killer even being frisked/checked beforehand, yet still finding a way to pull off the crime), and how Jesse escaped both. Not exactly the same, but interesting parallels. Also, I like that some people were saying that once Walt saw the Schwartz's on TV and decided to go back he was no longer Heisenberg nor Walt, but rather someone new (maybe a hybrid?). Even Walt's physical transformation seemed to back this up, since in the end he wasn't Walter with a full head of hair and only a mustache, and he wasn't the bald, mustached/goateed Heisenberg, but rather this new man with hair and a full beard. Just an interesting observation.
And the more I think about it, the end of half measures was probably my favorite scene of the entire show.
Well, he did still threaten their lives Heisenberg-style. He was a Heisenberg resigned to his Heisenberg-induced fate, and looking to get his final "wins" while making good in ways that gave him and his ego peace of mind. At first, I didn't think the episode was dark enough for my tastes (or in line with the rest of the show's darkness), but the more I think about it - it ended with Walt taking his last breath surrounded by nobody, shot in the stomach by his own gun-car, and on the floor of a Nazi's meth lab. I'd say that's dark enough.
I believe a bullet bounced off and hit him. When they were on the ground it seemed like Walt jerked at one point implying he was hit.
Yeah, I think it can be assumed that it was a richochet, since the gun wasn't shooting at that level.
I loved the Badger and Skinny Pete appearance which was also pivotal to owning Elliot/Gretchen. No character goes to waste on this show.

Also, ironic that Jesse killed the only guy in that building who was responsible for him still being alive.
Todd murdered his chick. He had it coming. That was my favorite part, Todd getting strangled on the floor of his little clubhouse.
Oh I'm not saying he didn't have an understandable motive, I'm just saying it's ironic that he'd have been long dead if it weren't for Todd.
And Walt wouldn't have been in that position if Jesse never snitched. The only guy in the building that Walt didnt kill. Crazy.
Someone made a great point about walter dying just like mike. His voice and delivery along with mannerisms was just like him. Also got shot in the side. Killied jack mid sentence just like he did hank.
Fantastic episode. Only thing that was a bit of a bother was how he was able to evade detection in and out of Skylar's apartment. On that note, how did he find out where they moved to? I guess it was the vacuum cleaner guy who provided the info.
As I said when it happened, that the Marty Robbins song they played in the car in the opening scence of the show, foreshadowed Walt's death by a bullet... "Maybe tomorrow A bullet may find me Tonight nothing's worse than this Pain in my heart.." They didnt play this but this is how the song ends.. "But my love for Felina is strong and I rise where I've fallen Though I am weary I can't stop to rest I see the white puff of smoke from the rifle I feel the bullet go deep in my chest From out of nowhere Felina has found me Kissing my cheek as she kneels by my side Cradled by two loving arms that I'll die for One little kiss and Felina, good-bye" So I guess Felina is the Blue meth, his love, and he died in its "arms".
