He could go even MORE conservative. That asinine playcall was him trying to be aggressive on a 3rd and 4... in the past, that was a run 90-95% of the time. This team used to be able to run the ball to end games, even if the opposing team knew it was coming. That's no longer the case... and its costing them in all sorts of ways as they have a mistake prone QB who can no longer be trusted to do the "right" thing.
If you put this loss on Schaub you gotta put the loss on Kubiak as well. Kubes is so predictable it's not even funny. This season could get UGLY.
Kubiak is limited in his play calling bc of schaub.. If I blame kubiak on anything its that he hasnt found his nuts to bench matt lob
I think the Titans are an anomaly and will settle down to their below .500 standard. I think the Texans are capable of stealing some wins from decent teams, especially with our defense, and if Cushing could stay healthy I say we sneak in as a wildcard.
It's been Kubiak's and Rick Smith's decision to not pursue a legitimate alternative to Schaub. If he feels limited by Schaub, it's his own damned fault. Honestly, I doubt he feels that way. I doubt he would deliberately handcuff himself by never pushing for other options at QB if he felt Schaub was really limiting his play calling. I doubt they would've given Schaub that extension if Kubes thought he was having to hold back due to Matt. I think the play calling would look largely the same regardless of who's playing QB with the possible exception of someone who can run the read option, and even then I'm not so sure.
Commentary from the game: "We are beginning to see Schaub at his best here. He is really intelligent with the football."
I will say this, take out the pick 6 and most likely everyone is talking about how Matt was just taking apart that Seattle secondary. A good amount of the past games, Matt has managing that one stupid play that completely swings momentum. It is really odd to see it happen like this over an extended period of time.
Houston, we have a Schaublem...... Kubiak benches Tate when he slightly fumbles. But how about benching Schaub after three pick 6's?
It's funny how much praise the announcers were giving Schaub. It was like they'd never seen him play before and knew nothing about his history.
