Unfortunately, Schaub is the best QB on the roster.....

He benched Arian a few times during his breakout year.

    Is he?

    Do we KNOW that?

I mean I suspect that is true as well, but do we honestly KNOW?

At this point, I would love to see someone else get a shot - either to shut people like me up, or to light a fire under Matt.

Sure it will, if Matt would just stop cowering under pressure and tossing off his back foot, I would happily support him, but I think he is scared back there, and as a result makes piss poor decisions under pressure

Sometimes he gets away with it, but he is so inconsistent that you can't COUNT on him in tough games, so I would rather search elsewhere, TBH.

    Winning, shuts me up....mostly.

    :)

Case Keenum is the best QB on the roster.

Yates is just a younger version of matt schaub.

Yates has been on this team for years, was basically playing the same offense in college, has regular and playoff games under his belt, yet was basically played to a draw by an undrafted undersized rookie this year.

Case Keenum is the best QB on the texans. He actually has potential unlike Yates who couldnt get it done when given the chance.

This is the new nfl. You dont need multiple years to figure out whether you have what it takes or not as a starting QB.

We've seen what Schaub can do.
We seen what Yates can do.

We dont know what Keenum can do. Give the man a chance.

lol....I've seen it all now. Time for bed.

If this crap continues on the field....I say give the young guy a try, anything to right the ship. I don't believe there is any answer for QB on this roster.....Yates...meh...Case....meh. But, I'd love to be surprised.

Although Yates would be next man up if something was to happen to Schaub....Case would be carrying the clipboard.

Today really hurt me. I've been a schaub defender for ever, but he lost the game today. All we needed was a pulse in the second half and we had it won, but schaub lined out.

Is Keemun the answer? I doubt it. But damn we might need to see.

I don't understand why people keep beating the dead horse... Kubiak isn't gonna bench Schaub to start his 3rd string quarterback. It's just not gonna happen. Why keep saying "what if? "

    It's not gonna happen.

You're right but it's a topic worthy of conversation. We're obviously not privy to the coahing staffs thoughts but if they have even an inkling that case (or Yates) can be the heir apparent they need to act on it. At this point it's painfully obvious that schaub can't get it done - no point in wasting an entire season if you don't have to.

Kaepernick took the niners to the freaking superbowl as a completely unproven play caller taking over around the same time. I don't think we have a kaepernick in our wings but we might as well find out now.
