Take a chance? Take a risk? Roll the dice? Nope, that ain't Bob. That ain't Gary.

("You're a liar! They took a chance on Schaub!" Amirite? :p)

When you compare picks to vets, you have to compare salaries. Schaub made on average ~$8mil/yr for his time here. A pick would've cost the Texans ~$1mil/yr. So it's a drafted QB+FA signing/re-signing that makes the comparsion apt. If you do that, I woul likely take a few more QBs. Starting with future Schaub clone in Dalton.

Also, by all indications, the Texans offense is favorable for QBs. If you want to look at Schaub just in terms of his skillset on why he's not elite, just look at his redzone throws. Not his QB rating or how well he can hand off to Foster, but look at his ability to fit balls into tight spaces within the 20. Now look at elite QBs and how well they throw the ball in tight spaces.

Hey may not be Elite but I hope Schaub can rub it in the face on all the haters against an elite Seahawks defense.

Matt Shaub is a SOLID QB top 13 in the NFL ala Tony Romo...He can't carried a team he needs help, but he has been mistake prone this year. Ala AJ I thik Schaub can possibly see a steadily declune by next year. Texans definetly:mad: n eed to draft the QB of the future in 2014 in the first 2 rounds. Add a OLB and OT in the first 3 rds. Maybe a MLB in the 4th rd.

Has Andre always done that instant dive after a catch? You see the quick pass, turn, yard grab and then dive in front of defenders. It's smart considering he is going to get nailed anyway but I wonder if it is a bigger part of his game after so many injuries.

I think I am ready to give up on Matt. Terrible quarterback when the games matter. Just awful

Maybe 4 years ago, but he is in serious decline the guy plays QB like a coward, goes down easily, throws off his back foot, and makes STUPID STUPID decisions.

He cost this team the game our defense is good enough to win it all - and to me it looks like the team is questioning Schaub as well, that look on Fosters face said it all.

Maybe it is time to try something else as QBs that have the battered QB syndrome do not get better after 32.

Those comeback wins were because he put us in a hole to start. We need to get rid of him and Kubiak.

Do you know how much better Kubiak would look with a QB that can run off the bootleg?

The bootleg is a dual threat offense, but not with Schaub....
