This team is only marketable if you can see them play and I have a feeling they won't have patience with csn because they want to showcase Harden and Howard. Here's the thing.... Some of us are embarrassed at the method we are building the team. By that I mean tanking year after year. We are purposely trying to finish last and that sucks. It's certainly nothing to be proud of because it's basically cheating and shows a lack of character.
Not much to be said beyond what is in the articles already. The petition itself doesn't say much beyond who the creditors are making the petition and how much they claim to be owed. There is an affidavit/declaration accompanying a motion asking for the appointment of an interim trustee to take over running CSN but much of the juicy stuff has been redacted and blacked out on the pages. There is allegation that CSN current partners are deadlocked as to how to run things-- I think this most likely refers to carriage deals but can't be sure because of the redaction. The economic issue, I think, is that because CSN Houston doesn't have carriage deals with any major carriers other than Comcast, it is unable to pay its bills to its lender and other creditors (maybe including the Rockets and Astros under their TV contracts). There was a report a while ago that the Astros were vetoing a carriage deal that the other investors would agree to. My guess is Comcast filed this in its capacity as creditors in order to force the Astros out of its management power.

Not that I truly understand how this stuff works, but I've always figured that having the Rockets tied to the Astros(contender and worst team in baseball) would be quite unfair to the Rockets in any deal. Better to dissolve this partnership and negotiate a deal themselves.
An involuntary bankruptcy petition IS a form of litigation. Make no mistake, this is going to be hotly contested every step of the way.
If a trustee is appointed, all bets are off. The parties would have limited ability to reach a binding agreement. The trustee would have to sign off on it and then the judge would have to approve it. IIRC, there is no absolute right to dismiss a Chapter 11.
