The fact that the competition was close between Yates (3 years on the team, has regular season and playoff reps) and Keenum (basically a rookie) tells you everything you need to know: Keenum > Yates Did you see those throws Keenum made in preseason? the ryan griffin out of the back of the endzone? the lestar jean in stride right in the bread basket touchdown pass? Matt Schaub has never done those things. And no, I did not go to UofH.
solid post solid. I think Keenum is better than both schaub and yates. The only thing schaub has on keenum is size and experience that's it. but this is the new nfl where you dont need 2-3 years to figure out if your qb is the real deal or not. Sadly, with our head coach, he's still operating under 1990s philosophy.
Rams still wondering if Bradford its their QB after 4 years, Jacksonville still figuring out if Gabbert is the real deal or not and this is his 3rd year. even oakland is trying to figure out if Pryor is their QB (they selected him in 2011) Minnesota is still trying to see if Ponder is their franchise QB or not.
