So I decided to try to put the info from the screening list http://www.linsanitythemovie.com/screening/ into more digestible form to track the Tugg event progess. As of right now, it seems like the Hampton, VA, location has joined Dallas and La Mirada as being confirmed hostings, since they sold enough tickets to meet the thresholds. The Hampton event is also on its way to being sold out. Just a heads up for anyone in Virginia who wants a ticket before it's sold out. The Hampton, VA, airing WILL happen, since they reached their threshold. St. Louis will probably join them soon in meeting the required threshold. And there are many others halfway there with plenty of time. Some of them are newly put up so haven't sold any tickets yet, like the Clovis, CA, location. It looks like San Antonio might be in trouble. They're halfway there, but the deadline for that Tugg location is today. So with Dallas, La Mirada, and Hampton, that brings the number of cities airing it in theaters up to 13 from the original 10. Any guess on how many more Tugg locations will reach their thresholds?
I'm thinking the California cities like Sacramento, Bakersfield, and Clovis will meet the number. St. Louis is very close. Maybe Portland Oregon, Amherst NY, and Salt Lake City, there's still a couple days. Broomfield, CO is off to a slow start, but they are backed by a fraternity, so they should be able to meet the number.
If you are in Houston tonight... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>. <a href="https://twitter.com/LinsanityMovie">@LinsanityMovie</a> mixer going down tonight 7-9pm at <a href="https://twitter.com/Soma_Sushi">@Soma_Sushi</a>, held by <a href="https://twitter.com/NAAAPHouston">@NAAAPHouston</a> <a href="https://t.co/ATW19kRdd0">https://t.co/ATW19kRdd0</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23RedNation&src=hash">#RedNation</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Linsanity&src=hash">#Linsanity</a></p>— Howard Chen (@ho_chenCSN) <a href="https://twitter.com/ho_chenCSN/statuses/383326417783488512">September 26, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Bakersfield, CA, has now met its threshold. Hampton, VA, is 1 ticket away from being sold out. And San Antonio's deadline seems to have been pushed back a day to today, with 50 reserved and 23 needed now.
San Antonio has now met its threshold and is actually only 2 tickets from selling out. Just a heads up for anyone in the area who wants one of the last 2 tickets. Hampton, VA, is now sold out. St. Louis, MO, has now met its threshold, so the screening there is confirmed by the hosting theater and will happen.
San Antonio is now sold out. They've added a festival listing for GIFF (Gasparilla International Film Festival) in Tampa to the screening list. And there's a link on the screeing list to the Taiwan theatrical release. The site's in Chinese so maybe someone who can read the language can tell us more. Will it be dubbed or subtitled there? And, if I recall correctly, the Taiwan theatrical release coincides with when Rockets are over there for pre-season games. Does that mean the team (or Jeremy) will go to the debut? Or is it simply the theater taking advantage of the extra press to schedule the release at that time? Will it be in one theater or several there?

Whoa, the movie releases in the Philippines on Tuesday in theaters nationwide, two days earlier than in the US AND I have to wait until Nov. NOT happy. Read more: http://sports.inquirer.net/121971/g...side-of-jeremy-lin-in-linsanity#ixzz2gUdEi5tD
Just an update on where there Tugg screenings ticket pre-sales have progressed to. The screenings only happen if they can reach their required reserved ticket pre-sale threshold by the deadline. After that, any extra tickets are available till they sell out. After that, you have to sign up for a wait list in case more tickets become available. Portland has reached its threshold and also sold out. Salt Lake City has also reached its required threshold. It looks like a few others should reach their thresholds soon.
