There are a lot of bad songs out there most of the ones mentioned are just recent songs that are overplayed. To achieve a great level of hate a song needs time to really achieve it (much like a great song, takes time to achieve greatness). Hotel California (just overplayed) that and Stairway are the two most overplayed songs, but Stairway is such a great song that it doesn't get much complaint. My favorite catergory of bad songs is bad songs by good artists: Dylan's "Rainy Day Women #12&34" being the first one that comes to mind, which was the first song of Dylan's I specifically listened to. I had bought Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol1 at a resale shop and this was the first song on the album. All I could think was "This is the great Bob Dylan? What the hell is this?" And there are songs that I personally hate "What's Up" 4 Non Blondes (the answer: my lunch), "MMM...mmm" (or whatever the title is) by Crash Test Dummies. But two songs that really stand out in the hate category runner up: "MacArthur Park" - Richard Harris (though the Donna Summer is just as bad) Check out these awesome lyrics: "MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don't think that I can take it 'Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again, oh noooooo" WTF?? A lot of lyrics looks stupid when written, but these sound stupid when sung too, but I'll save everybody the time and not post the video. And sure it's a metaphor, but good lord it's probably the worst in the history of lyrics. But the WINNER here literally gives me physical pain every time I inadvertently hear it (and I have to post the video because the sound that emanates from it is indescribable): <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6PAzqBUNlCs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Gotta go, getting a headache just thinking about it.

That cars for kids jingle makes me want to gouge a knife into my ears. Hands down the most annoying ad on the radio; I immediately flip the station.
I like Macklemore's album but that song annoys me. Even more so that the Buzz plays it. They tend to play white rappers on the Buzz which doesn't make any sense to me. To be fair they haven't really played rap since eminem but still they should keep in the genre they promote.
I agree with whoever said "we are young" by fun. Also that other fun. song that was played on the radio. Might be showing my age here, but yeah "Hotel California" is terrible. Not Worst Song Ever status, but not far off either.
Cruise by Florida Georgia Line ...the country version is fine but the pop version with Kanye is so damn awful.
You're not talking about Steve Earle are you? And yes, outside of maybe 2 songs there's no debate about it, the Eagles ****ing suck. However, the worst song ever was performed by Lee Greenwood (Murica!). Or Whitney Houston (Bodyguard). Or Celine Dion (Titanic).
