Cov's coveted shot is why he has a real shot.

Did you forget Messrs Asik and Smith as potential starting 4s?

Covington, like DMo, like TJo, like all un/under proven 'talents' need to prove their worth on real NBA courts v real NBA players. Really.

Parsons part deux? Great defender with length, jack of all trades, diamond in the rough. $.5M contract, 22 yrs old, nothing to lose. Asik or DMo starts though, book it!

Do you honestly believe that? I mean, truly?

Because if you do, I have something to let you in on, AvgJoe.

I am absolutely positively 200% sure that you, AvgJoe, WON'T be gettin' raped tonight.

A valid question would be... How tall is he really?

    6'6" or 6'9"?

    The difference this time is
Covington is at higher risk losing his job while Morris was a lottery pick who was heralded by Morey and Co. from the start.

Sorry. Can't say that I was ever a big Gay guy. You could try asking Patrick Patterson that and see if he's interested, though. Good luck.

I watched every game he played in the summer league. Impressed by his work and he got high potential. He is a natural SF but played PF in college.

6'6'' PF? That's Chuck Hayes territory.

Covington's 6' 6.25" listing is without shoes. His wingspan and standing reach is only slightly less than Terrence Jones', who measures out pretty well himself.

Paul Millsap is 6' 6.25" without shoes himself. Covington has half an inch on Millsap both in wingspan and standing reach.

If you want to argue against Covington, the argument should be either he's not good enough or he's not strong enough (to play PF). Because -- although he may not have ideal size -- tall/long enough, he is.

He is a Pf and not a small forward due to his only glaring weakness which is dribbling. If he can work on his dribble he can be another Parsons. He is around 6'7.5 with shoes on and he is still a long shot to make the opening roster. How is Canaan doing against the vetrans ?
