Deer Park isn't bad for a suburb, near the Fairmont Pkwy and beltway 8 area. That is about as far east as I would consider.

And the insults about the East are right on que...

Been living here for all my life, sans five years in San Marcos @ TX State. Currently I live NE, in the Crosby area. But I've lived in Northshore and Baytown as well. I love Crosby, and I'll prob never leave. Believe it or not... It only takes approx 30-40 minutes to get anywhere in the city from here.

Amen, lots of douchy laker cowboyish type opinions. I have a lot in the Commons of lake Houston. Staying put in Good old Baytown however. Wouldn't mind moving to New Port either.

I grew up in Deer Park and still live here. Many nice new neighborhoods all around.
