If Asik keeps his position, he would get a big contract after 14/15. Being D12 backup, I don't know he can do it, so I feel bad for him.
Hopefully he is the right guy to get us the championship. I miss my fuhrer thought it was a mistake to exile him but o well, move on we must. I do find it odd that Mchale can be condescending to anyone and have an opinion on an every single player except when it comes to his stickiness issue. He lways talks about it but never really singles him out. Now Sampson, he is not scared to call anyone out. I like that. I do get that too many coaches have to be passive on how they treat star players as they can get got if relationship with star player dissolves. Ahh I'm ready for some Mchale vs scoop berman showdowns.
Just McHale being a sarcastic jerk. Nothing really out of the ordinary. I think the snark was directed more at the interviewer than Omer though.

Can someone please point me to a direct quote or link where Asik indicates he was 'not happy' otherwise this is creating drama where it doesn't exist and feigan is being a toxic little drama queen. Mchale stated he hadn't communicated with asik so at the minimum we know our coach hasnt heard anything of the sort.
It's easy to high five McHale over his tough talk, but NBA fans are well aware of the fact that players can be very passive aggressive. There are plenty of ways that Asik can be a pain in the ass and force a trade, nor would it necessarily hurt his ability to get another big contract. There is also the matter of starting training camp off on the right foot and for everyone to be on the same page. I'm going to take a guess that Morey won't be as thrilled with McHale's one liner as the media.
I think McHale's comments was not meant to disrespect Omer but rather a different way of saying... Asik has not told him anything about his concerns and any info about that is currently just rumors.
