heard about montgomery's position switch through the grapevine; is it being discussed anywhere on here? cant believe they pulled the trigger on it this quick. looks like a bust.
Lines don't reflect what handy cappers think. It reflects what the betting public thinks. The lines move as a reflection of the action
Dennison has the balls to say what's wrong. I respect him for that. He calls out Schaub. Now, about Marciano.
Anyone ask Kubiak, Smith, or McNair why the ef this hack still has a job? Talk about beating a dead horse.
Bust? Too early to tell. A reach? Definitely, always was. IMO he's more out of place as a 3-4 OLB than he is a 3-4 end.
Not so quick: He has a big frame and can put on a lot of weight while retaining elite quickness for DE. He still has 1st round talent, dropping because of character issues IIRC. He has got the tools, but it is clear that Montgomery can bulk up quickly, instead of losing weight and staying leaner. What one can conclude is that Antonio Smith might be a salary cap casualty soon, and that Crick/Jamison are both heavily underperforming (which has been seen in the games). Also, if Reed does not improve, this slates Trevardo Williams to replace Mercilus and Mercilus to move over to Strong Side, increasing the pass rush tremendously. Reed could replace Sharpton inside. All speculation and nothing immediate of course.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Texans&src=hash">#Texans</a>' Matt Schaub said there was a definite sense of urgency today during practice. "No doubt." Not sure, but my money is on this guy: Also, all this "sense of urgency" stuff has a potential of backfiring if the team comes out and struggles early against Seattle. Establishing the run early is a huge key this Sunday, as it will force that hard-hitting secondary to hesitate on our play-actions throughout the game. Our offensive line HAS to take that thrashing in Baltimore as an insult, and come out looking to knock some heads in.

I don't feel like the Texans have done very well in drafting college DE's to play 3-4 OLB. Mercilus and Reed have kind of been just OK. We kind of know what to expect out of Reed by this point. Mercilus still has time to develop and show us more. Trevardo Williams didn't show much in preseason and Montgomery has already been moved back to DE. I don't think any of them are that elite pass rusher that you hope to get out of a SOLB (Reed playing WOLB).
Most sense of urgency in practice....sounds good until you hear that most starters sat out today on both offense and defense..
This. But we need players to step since Brown and AJ are "very sore." That doesn't sound promising, Foster needs to show me something.
I don't know how I feel about this game.. before the season, I thought this game would be a hard fought win.. but now with the way our QB and overall offense has been playin.. I just don't know how we can win this.. that seattle defense is just sick.. My heart says texans 24-17, my head is telling me seahawks 31-17.. texans suck on 10 points and score a TD late when the game is already out of hand..
