35 more days to go - and I am still watching the clock - sigh..... There was a question whether Rockets have the best guard combination, My own rating calculations shows Rockets as best combo: Best 5 guard combo teams are - Rockets, Lakers, Pacers, Warriors and Kings. Worst 5 guard combos teams are - Pistons, Nuggets, Jazz, Knicks and Bucks. Similar method of assessment for Best Forward Combos: Best 5 forward combo teams are - Pistons, Bulls, Nets, Warriors and Rockets. Worst 5 forward combo teams are - 76ers, Jazz, Lakers, Suns and Celtics. Hence, The Best 5 teams (in theory) would be - Rockets, Warriors, Bulls, Pistons and Nets. The Worst 5 teams would be - Bucks, Knicks, Suns, Jazz and Celtics. I am not sure how Knicks got to the bottom (and frankly I don't care) - it's nice to see Rockets at the top though! So Go Rockets!
I hate to be critical but shouldn't the best forward combo start the Heat? Last time I checked LeBron has been a forward his entire career. He is the single best player in the league. You should rethink your theory. We don't even know who will be starting at the 4 for Houston yet, how can you rank them as 5th best forward combo in the league?
Crash, there is still a difference from our hypothesis versus reality. We are looking at combos and not solos, no doubt that James is probably a one man ball team himself, but the last time I checked basketball is still a team sports. Yeah it's probably my wishful thinking but it's nice to have stats being on our side once in a while ;-)
And as a team, LeBron teamed with anyone on the Heat makes a better combo than anyone on the Rockets that you can team with Chandler. How can you even draw a conclusion about the Rockets forwards when we don't even know who the Power Forward will be just yet? And you have us ranked 5th? No respect for Durrant and Ibalka? They are also clearly better (as a combo) than anyone you have on your list. Not sure what your formula is but it is most clearly flawed.
Eh, I consider it to be only 10 days. Even though it's just preseason, it's still a Rockets game!!
it's 27 Sep where I am - but I know it's still 26th in the states, but hey it's Media Day - and training camp starts on 28th Sep...... yes, it's coming, soon we will be counting down before blast off...... Go Rockets!

It's Oct 1 where I am and the season start is now visible on the calendar! Man, was this off-season long, but the rockets have started to practice and their first practice match would be on 5 Oct (or 6 Oct where I be) ..... Go Rockets!
