Got offered Trent Richardson for MJD and Decker in a PPR. I have Lynch as my RB1. My receivers are Green, Garçon, Shorts and Decker. Should I accept?
Yes -- MJD's banged up, over the hill, and running for the most abysmal offense in the NFL. Decker will have his moments, but he won't consistently produce at a high level, especially when he's competing for targets with the likes of D. Thomas, Welker, and J. Thomas.
I had a heavy need at QB (had Dalton + Palmer in a 12 team) so I traded for RGIII by sending away Julius Thomas and Marlon Brown. I think this only worked cause the guy was holding 4 QBs for some reason. Keep Garcon in this case. I'm more worried about Ridley than many other RBs that have struggled. You also don't need RB help, I'd look for RB depth if nothing else. Try to get your hands on David Wilson or Lamar Miller if you want a RB. I would let him talk a little and just be like, "Nah, I really would only do Rodgers for Cam/Steve." And then he's left with a bit of an ultimatum. I'm leaning heavily yes. Unless you are god awful at WR. Trent is a top 10 RB and will be better in Indy than Cleveland (a real offense and OLine). Gordon has lots of upside, I like him as a WR2. You do have solid WRs so it comes down to if this is PPR (that would make Jimmy more valuable) and who your TE is. If you already have a Jordan Cameron or Julius Thomas, I would hold off or ask for a slight bit more. Otherwise, take the deal. Pick up Fleener, Heath Miller or Curtis Clay if you want to supplement your loss at TE in the deal. Take it in a heart beat. Trent is a top 10 RB, extremely valuable. MJD might be injured all season and Decker is solid but streaky. You're also set at top WR, so Decker would only be a Flex and Trent is a better option there.
I have been trying to buy low on Wilson myself. I have been offered Wilson for Dwayne Bowe so not exactly buying low but at least they were both picked in the same round. Both have been disappointments and I am worried about Rb2. Bowe will have some good games but he will also have some duds like last game. I've got Marshall and Jordy as my WR's and Cecil Shorts on the bench. My RB's are Doug Martin and Ridley. My bench is Fred Jackson and Joique Bell. We have one flex spot for WR, RB, or TE. I have Gronk penciled as my flex play most weeks assuming he comes back strong. League is 1/2 ppr.
Is there no pure TE spot? Yeah, I don't know if Bowe would be buying low on Wilson. Bowe is the biggest mystery to me in fantasy this season. Dude gets paid over the offseason, they improve all around their offense, he's their most talented receiver and they can't get him the ball.....
Yeah, no pure TE spot. Agree on Bowe, I really don't want to give up on him but that offense is maddening. They need to get shutdown and realize they need to open it up a little but not sure if that will happen with Smith at the helm.
This is the week where you can really capitalize on trading. Many owners are panicked that their team is not as good as originally thought and some will overreact to good/bad performances by certain players. Be active on the trade market this week and try to find a value you like. My one note would be: be careful of that one 1-2 team that's actually really good and only needs one or two pieces to make them excellent. If you give them that QB and TE they were looking for, and they replaced whatever they sent out, you might regret it in the playoffs. I like to target the teams that are pretty bad and take one of their top under performing players. I.E. say a team that's deep at WR and has Roddy White or Fitzgerald. Give them some RBs and take a top tier WR in a trade that kind of makes sense for both teams.
Then make that a resounding f**k yeah. Question: Should I bench Decker vs Philly for Thompkins @ Atlanta? Cruz is my other receiver and even though they play KC you can't bench your stud like that.
I think you should start Decker. I feel like he's more reliable, b/c Kenbrell Thompkins had one good game. That being said, Thompkins is available; should I drop Reuben Randle and pick him up?
I would. I dropped Greg Jennings for him at he's a #1 option. Randle is a #3 option and hasn't produced anything since week 1. Thanks.
Should I offer Roddy White for MJD straight-up? The person with MJD has him on their bench and is in dire need of wide receivers. She started Eddie Royal this week and had to put Pierre Thomas in the Flex. This could be a low-for-low trade. My WR corp, as it stands, is AJ Green, Jordy Nelson, DeAndre Hopkins, Cecil Shorts and Roddy White. I'd hate to give up Roddy if he ever gets healthy, but he's been on my bench so far this season. Conversely, my RB platoon is Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden. I need RB depth.
