We all know Asik wont start... and we also know that we will trade Asik if it is an upgrade...

 

pelicans - ASIK & DMO or JONES

rockets - RYAN ANDERSON & AUSTIN RIVERS

he is sg/pg, and im just syaing what I would do as a GM. pelicans have too many talented guards so they would give him up for a extra PF since asik would play Center and anthony davis can go back to his real PF position. It will be a trade before season starts morey won’t cut all those players with guarantee money when he can get something out of them

 

Seriously? This trade is (searching for diplomatic words...) not smart. Anderson is not worth Asik straight up (long range PFs are not worth defensive gem centers, period), and Rivers is useless AND expensive. To tthrow in DMO or Jones on top of that is even sillier.

 

thanks for the OPINION, evryone can have one, but last time I chacked the rockets still dont have a backup SG besdies reggie williams, and whose is the starting PF again ? that will be able to clear the lane as a strech four ? and ryan anderson rebounded 8 pg in orlando his last year with orlando with howard there, has post moves, and has the highest 3point % in the nba as a PF.

 

Having no backup sg is better than playing Rivers from what we've seen thus far.

 

Who's gonna back up Howard? I'm not saying that it's the worst thing in the world. I like Ryan Anderson and he knows Howard and Lin well. I'm just saying it sounded like it was gonna go down. I read a similar rumor just an hour ago. That would be cray..

 

sure you didnt watch him this summer league and the solid numbers he put up and defense he played. and him being aware that everyone thinks he had a bad first year as a 20 year old and him saying he understands he has alot to prove and is working hard everyday and knows he will get better with time.

 

would still have dmo or jones & smith as backup PF.... and greg smith and camby as back up center

 

Trading Asik would set them back as far as contending goes.

 

Um...we do have a back up shooting guard. His name is Ronnie Brewer.
