Would you like to take a shot? Or can you find a CF member who can take a shot? I am certainly waiting with bated breath.

Now let's make one thing perfectly clear, Rockets2K. The fact of the matter is this: JCDenton is the hottest thing going in statistics today. You can neg rep me to try to hide the fact that my popularity is skyrocketing like a parabolic curve, but the masses recognize me as a once in a generation statistician and I'm still on trajectory to hit an UNHEARD OF three rep bars before 1,000 posts.

We both know that you can't ban me and make me a free agent because it would hurt Clutchfans more than it would hurt me. It would be like Vince McMahon firing The Rock and having him show up on WCW Monday Nitro the next day. Instead of reading Clutchfans, everyone would be constantly refreshing the RealGM and InsideHoops forums wondering where JCDenton was going to pop up next. The fact of the matter is this: JCDenton is synonymous with statistics, and anytime statistics are mentioned, the masses sit on their hands in anticipation of JCDenton weighing in:

You take JTRs side, but the fact of the matter is that HE DISRESPECTED ME. Statistics is a collegial field, and it was an insult that he posted this thread without clearing it with me and obtaining my peer review. His act was all the more brazen because his other thread clearly showed that the Clutchfans community EXPECTED him to obtain my peer review before publishing his work and politely tried to nudge him in that direction. Had he swallowed his pride and requested my assistance, I would have happily given him a few pointers and ensured that his work was fit for publication. Instead, he jumped the gun and posted a TWO STAR THREAD that was quickly heading towards one star. This thread was on life support before JCDenton showed up, but once I did, ratings spiked to three stars and the popcorn.gifs came out. After excitement from a JCDenton post died down, ratings REGRESSED back to two stars.

I'm just going to lay it all on the line and say what we both already know: you and me are on a collision course and momentum for me to replace you as a mod is growing in the Clutchfans community. A classic battle of the unstoppable force vs. the immovable object. So I say why wait? Lets settle this right now broski. I'm throwing down a challenge to you, Rockets2k: You, Clutch, and JTR against me and my mystery tag team partner in a handicap hardcore ladder match. In a briefcase suspended above the ring, we're going to have your Clutchfans Moderator Contract and my Official Statistical Genius License. Winner takes them both. You win, I'll to surrender my title, recognize JTR as the Clutchfans Official Statistical Genius, and retire in shame. I win and I get your mod powers. The ball is in your court.

And because JTR wasn't kind enough to provide one, a GRAPH for my adoring fans:

Seems like there are unnecessary ego clashes in what is a well written post with well thought out discussions and replies.

Please don't mischaracterize healthy academic debate as "ego clashes." While I vehemently disagree with JTR's methodology and flippant disregard of peer review standards, at the end of the day I have no issue with him on a personal level and consider him a friend and colleague.

The arrogance is sickening. I hope that informative posts and information interesting to and enlightening for the rest of Clutchfans' posters can replace these biased graphs and valueless-info volleying so that we can get back to talking about pertinent and up-to-date Rockets' information and providing the fans with something more than this lame attempt at swaying fan support, while not-so-subtly trying to gain supporters for your personal vendetta against another seemingly quality poster.

And between all of the b****ing and moaning here is what I have accomplished. And yes it is fully interactive, with all of the math functioning. And most of the recommendations you all made here incorporated. It still needs some simple cleanup so it is not ready for prime time so this is just a sneak peak.

I actually like this presentation better. It seems cleaner.

Yes. It is amazing software. If you are into advanced statistical analysis it seems like a must have for data presentation to a wide audience.

But I am like many software engineers. I constantly say to myself "I can't release it because it is not perfect."

But do you have an Official Statistical Genius License? THE COURT DEMANDS TO KNOW SIR!

JCDenton, we bow to your magnificence.

That looks pretty awesome, though it is non-obvious how you adjust games missed for an individual player from just the screencap.

It immediately makes me want to play with the stats for individual players. Playing with what happens if Dwight approaches his stats from earlier years, or one of our PFs starts playing well... can't imagine the number of knobs and dials you'd have to add, but I could spend hours with that.

I actually have begun to work on extending it to the entire NBA. It is difficult because I have to adjust all of the rosters to reflect recent player movement. I also have been musing about making players WS and xRAPM modifiable. But I am going to limit that, otherwise people will just get their jollies by populating their favorite team with all Lebrons.
