This is exactly what I thought of. This will be as much of a failure as Vince McMahon's XFL!!!

Does that mean Ron Artest will be on MWP's jersey?

Wade needs to go with "Wade County". It is the only one that can challenge Jesus Shuttlesworth for best nickname. Seeing the Truth on the back of a jersey will be cool too, I guess.

The Brooklyn jersey with "The Truth" on it is absolutely sick. That's a gorgeous jersey IMO.

The rest I could do without

Let's find ANOTHER way to make it less about basketball and more about gimmicks.

I had to pause this at the 1:01 mark to make sure they weren't trying to insinuate that Blake would dunk on Dream.

    Shirts and Skins

Also instead of jump ball for possession how about half court shot for ball and call your own foul, no free throws sideout. While we're at it, gotta win by 2 and Make it Take it would be interesting.

I see the NBA is whoring itself out for merchandising revenue.

    Reeks of desperation...

Another reason why the NBA will always rank behind MLB and the NFL.

    Time for a new logo...

    New commissioner. New marketing strategy?

    Follow the money.

NBA LOVES making all these alternative jerseys. They go way overboard with it and I guess people eat it up.

Also they will change the font of the name and sprinkle it up a bit so that it will be different than the ones you can order and put whatever on.

if they can make their money like this, maybe they won't have to rig the games no more

I like it. At least we can find out what the players prefer instead of some of the idiotic computer-generated fan formulas: J-Will, T-Will, T-Rob, D-Mo, X-Blank. I remember in an interview someone asked Thomas Robinson if he could call him "Tommy Robinson" and he said no.

I personally think "Chandler Bang" sounds like a Chili's appetizer and would love to know if he actually prefers that nickname.

Now "Chuck Wagon," I wanna see that on a jersey.

Some of you sound so conservative. "The jersey is so sacred. . . . Don't soil it with the nicknames we always use and which we even create threads to generate." Quit using nicknames if you don't like them. "The sacred jersey. . . ." You think it's not merchandise already?
