I liked it. Didn't love it, but definitely liked it. I'm a big Dexter fan, so I'm sad to see it go, even though it definitely overran it's course. Either way, I'm happy with how it ended, and Seasons 1 and 4 were some of the more memorable seasons of television I've ever seen, so all in all, I'm happy with the show.
That is exactly what should have happened, unfortunately, Clyde left the show and some ****head took over and ran it into the ground. Terrible ending, one of the worst series finales I have ever seen.
are you r****ded? how were they no consequences for him being a serial killer. He finally realized that he can never have a relationship with anyone he loves because who he is. He lost his kid, his one and only family, and the girl he was in love with.
in season endings the second main character dies and the main character fakes his own death? what shows you been watching?
Way to be a dick..anyway..I meant by legal consequences..say the death penalty or life in prison..or him actually dieing.. what a crap finally..
This is the worst ending I could possibly imagine. Dumping your sister in the water like you did all those bad people? And he lives?! Wow... So awful
you obv dont understand the symbolism behind the fact of him living. Its the fact he has to live with the grief and suffering knowing that his actions caused nothing but harm to everyone around him. thats a greater pain then just committing suicide. Dexter's survival instinct would never let him commit suicide
Committing suicide would have been just as awful. And no, the symbolism is not lost on me, but it's still just awful.
What would you honestly expecting? we all knew he wasnt going to get arrested. I liked the ending because it shows that his actions came back to bite him. Deb was the only person in the world who meant everything to dex and the fact that her death was a result of dexter obv really shoot him. him working as a lumberjack was just his own way of punishing himself knowing he'll have to live with that guilt till the day he dies.
wow, so you're a miserable prick on not only the astros threads, but hangout thread too? you're a winner.
Ending wasn't too bad. I was a bit shocked by the final scene, but I'm definitely going to miss this show. When you watch the show from the year it started, 8 years is a long ass time. I don't care how badly the show turned after Season 4/5, I still liked watching it. I read that Phillips ending and that ending would've been awesome.
