there is only one episode left. of course u are close. I assumed Walt would read about the death of Jesse's girlfriend in the paper and this would for some reason motivate him to come out of hiding. I was wrong.
And the Charlie Rose bomb shell that the Blue Meth is still out there is the thing that brings Walt out it seems.
I didn't even realize they brought up the blue meth. I was too focused on what the other two were saying.
And the ego. It tells you how big Walt's ego is that even though he gave up on his family and was ready to give himself up to the feds, when he perceived the "intellectual diss" from Gray matter partners who he has always resented for not giving him the proper credit he deserves, it triggered Heisenberg in him once more.
You could almost see him change while he was hearing the perceived slights in the interview, again great acting from Cranston.
The biggest thing from the tv interview at the end is the fact that the blue meth is still out there. He "left" gray matter and it grew into an empire. The blue still being out there is the same thing. That's his product remember how defensive he would get about it throughout the series. Heisenberg doesn't want his stuff out there if it's not him. He's going after the Nazis.
This 100%. It all comes back to not getting the recognition he sought for so long. By having the blue meth out there people will think he was just another pawn in a greater scheme. Also, I notice a little bit of Heisenberg transformation in Todd. He definitely has the ego.
