In a sane world, this play would get Marciano fired. Complete breakdown, no tackling or effort or lane discipline. And why isn't Daniel Manning getting a chance to return? He was phenomenal in the playoffs. We all knew and still know that this team's ceiling is division champ as long as Kubiak/Schaub are in place. I aint even mad since my expectations are that low.
outside of chris myers and duane brown, the o-line can't be trusted. is ben jones still on the roster?
just to try uplifting people after this terribly played football game...Last year the Texans did blow out the Ravens only to see the Ravens hold the trophy in New Orleans... Some times certain teams just start slow...im really hoping that is what this is...a good team just starting off slow...cause
A lot of panic after losing one game. FIRE SCHAUB! FIRE KUBIAK! FIRE MARCIANO! FIRE BOB MCNAIR! TEAR DOWN RELIANT! Haha. I know some will say it's not just one game, it's a build up over [x] games/years. Same ol' same ol' blah blah blah. THEY'RE TIRED OF IT AND AREN'T GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE! THEY'RE DONE WITH THE TEAM!
Are we already arguing SOS? Packers are 1-2? Seahawks 3-0, Colts 2-1...6-3 Texans have played the Titans 2-1, Chargers 1-2, Balti 2-1...5-4...so really one game, and the Chargers lost to the Titans... A bit too early to argue that. I just don't see what makes this team so scary that people have them down as a loss already. They don't look as explosive as last year that is for sure. I'd be more worried about the Colts than the 9ers at this point.
That was an extremely difficult game to watch.. best to just forget it and move on . I thought both of the big PI calls were BS .. never seen such a whistle happy group of ref's , although many were deserved ... just sloppy all around . The rookie wide receiver continues to impress and my god can Lechler nail a punt .. not many positives to take away though , oh JJ is still JJ and the kicker actually made a field goal
Or would you rather them be 11-1... and end up as they did last year? Starting fast... starting slow... its clear they have a lot of things to work on. New England is 3-0 with only 1 solid game played. San Fran hasn't looked good against better competition. Green Bay looks like a high scoring team that still could lose enough games due to inconsistent defense. Denver has been the best/most consistent over two games, which guarantees nothing come playoff time (as they were the most consistent a year ago as well). Now word is out that Aldon Smith will be off the 49ers indefinitely. Fans talking up the Titans. More time is needed to evaluate all teams. The Texans aren't playing as well at this point as they were a year ago... doesn't mean they're not capable of playing better as the season goes on (and frankly, barring injury, they better start playing mistake free high-execution football).
Agreed. This team needs to open up the playbook more via 2009. We may be able to run the ball well, but do it when we have the lead. We showed glimpses of greatness last year against the Broncos last year. Why you say? We aired the ball out, got Matt in a rhythm and would make teams become one dimensional offensively. Our defense right now is better than our d last year. I think they may be even better than the year before that. Just wait and see. Looking at the yards per game given up, it is a good indicator of our defense.
what a horrible week for the texans, we lose, both colts and t*** win. I don't see how the texans are favorites with our schedule and the colts/t*** up in this race.
Lechler is such a weapon, and I hope next weeks game plan includes more Hopkins. He can make plays, but it seems when Andre is on the field, Matts blinders come on.
More often than not over the last two years... they open the game throwing the ball. They get leads and then run the ball. They run the ball effectively, the lead grows. Very rarely do they start a game out with multiple runs in the opening drive... Kubiak's scripted plays usually will have more passes, especially early.
