It's all about the offense and special teams. Defense has been great thus far. Down 1 TD, i'll take it.
God this Texans game day threads are always pathetic. Guess what, the Ravens looked ****ing horrendous against the Texans last year and went on to win it all. The end of the world posts, the Schaub/Kubiak suck circle jerk, and those who seem to want the Texans to **** up are getting old fast.
Schaub will make 3 straight comebacks in a row. you know if it was Eli Manning, you'd all be jizzing about how clutch he is.
I don't like this formula of getting down and finally slinging it around by the offensive genius Kubes. This team is gonna get killed by some of these teams coming up playing like this. Oh well...
Typical Texans bull****. Overly conservative and no drive or sense of urgency until we fall behind and are under the gun. Then, and only then, do they try to move the ball down field. Why don't we score TD's in the red zone? Because Kubes is cool with 3 as long as we're not losing.
As I said before, our problems start with Kubiak. He doesn't trust Schaub to throw downfield and stretch the field. He calls for everything to be a run or a throw underneath. It's entirely predictable and defenses know it. On Schaub's part, he falls into that complacency and locks onto his safety blankets. Kubiak and Schaub are too predictable. It's not until we're down bad before we start throwing downfield and we become dangerous. Kubiak and Schaub have shown that we can be dangerous. But they're too mentally soft and timid to play that way out of the gate.
I still think Texans comeback and win, but that doesn't excuse me from saying they're looking terrible right now on offense.
Call me a doom and gloom poster but, there is no way in hell Schaub can expect to dig himself out of holes in the playoffs against veteran teams. People like a comeback, but mistake-free football is under-rated. elite QBs are allowed mistakes, not game-managers like schaub
I hope we take the lead again, because nothing arouses or excites me more than draw plays on 3rd and long.
