Dispicable. Every time I hear about a mass killing I hope their is a very special place in hell for these aholes.

 

What is there to debate here?

 

It's another horrible act by madmen. I hope the Kenyan government has the good sense to ask Britain for help from the SAS, or the United States with our own elite anti-terrorist special forces, like our Navy SEAL teams. These terrorists need to be taken down, hopefully without losing the lives of more innocents.

 

That, and a bunch of drone strikes in Somalia and Yemen.

 

Question: why would the terrorists let the Muslims in the mall escape? Wouldn't traditionalists despise Muslims who embrace western culture and materialism?

 

In their twisted minds, perhaps doing that somehow helps validate the other things they are busy doing. And yes, it doesn't make a damned bit of sense.

 

How is that relevant? Are you saying that this has nothing to do with Islam?

 

I've made a few trips to Nairobi and Kisumu over the past year for work. It's kind of scary thinking about this. Anyways, my friend who is still in Nairobi said the majority of people killed/injured looked like they were Indian. His colleague works in the plaza.

 

It's a causal assertion from one of the principals of the story. I think it's unnecessarily abrasive to claim it's not relevant.

 

Is it then also "unnecessarily abrasive" to claim that it is not relevant when terrorists say they are acting in the name of Islam? They clearly make that causal assertion as well.

Yet, the same people who call someone a Nazi for pointing this out claim that the reasons are purely socio-economic, their actions have nothing to do with Islam, they are not Muslims, etc. etc. etc.

 

It's pretty obvious that this is connected to Islam, after all the terrorists allegedly let anybody who was a Muslim go by testing the civilians on prayer or Islamic knowledge, but it's by no means the sole cause, since most news outlets, and the organisation claiming responsibility, say that this is in retribution for Kenya sending troops into Somalia in the previous years.

My deepest condolences to those who've lost lives and their family and relatives. Hope the attackers are captured and the masterminds behind it caught as well.

 

But why did Kenya send troops into Somalia? Because Islamist fanatics have been terrorizing and destabilizing Somalia, and this was affecting Kenya already.

Don't confuse cause and effect here. Foreign-funded Islamization and radicalization efforts were responded to by the Kenyan government.

The presence of Kenyan troops in Somalia in no way justifies or allows to rationalize the Islamists' actions.

P.S.: Guess where the funding for these Madrasas comes from...

By the way, reports I'm reading this morning say some of the terrorists are still there and holding hostages. Like their stoopid Moozlim policy, this makes absolutely no sense if true.

 

Apparently they would tell you to recite an Islamic prayer or ask if who was Muhammad's mother and stuff like that. According to Bloomberg, canadians, French, British, Chinese and South African citizens were killed too, so hopefully this gets the Chinese government's attention and fury too.
