I couldn't beat that lady either. I tried playing a bunch of tennis hoping it would improve my chances, but still wasn't able to beat her. I did win a few bucks playing tennis at the vinewood apartments though.
I beat the lady in the footrace but lost to Jimmy's ****** on the bike ride. There's lots of ways to get money..stick-up a gas station, rob an armored bank truck, invests in stock, or just beat people up on the street and take the cash that drops.
I happened to come across a police chase in progress and rammed the dude they were chasing off the road. He got out of his car and got into a shootout with the cops. After they killed him the cops started yelling at me to get away. Ended up the dude dropped a whole bunch of money. I picked up maybe $5000 but right away the cops killed me. I'm guessing if I had planned that better I could have gotten a bit more.
The foot race with Mary Ann? All 3 characters encounter her. The one with Trevor is hilarious. Worth doing the others for that alone. I'm not sure if you have to beat her with Michael to unlock the others or not. I kind of think you do. I did it in the order of Michael, Franklin, then Trevor. I didn't have any problem. I just hit "A" faster. It ate into Michael's health, but he survived. Didn't to anything to prepare, got it on the first try. I had run a triathlon though so maybe my stamina had improved a bit. I'm not sure if tennis improves stamina or if it's supposed to increase your strength.
Yeah same here, I beat her without bumping up my stamina but it depleted almost all my health. How/where do I meet her with Trevor and Franklin?
There should be one of the ?'s on the map. May have to do Franklin before Trevor. IIRC, they were both way up in the hills, but before you get to Blaine county. Trevor's was somewhere around the Vinewood sign or the Vinewood Bowl.
Hmm I've already opened up Blaine County with Trevor but still haven't encountered her with them. I hope I didn't miss out on it.
I didn't meet her with Franklin or Trevor until pretty late in the game. It might also be that she doesn't show up again until a certain number of story missions have been completed.
