the food I eat are not very healthy.

It's usually homemade food but it's Pakistani food which has oil and stuff.
Would I still see results if I had a disciplined workout but continued eating what I eat? I eat less because it's unhealthy at times. I think I eat about 2000 calories-2500 calories a day. I'm the most health conscious in my house/family.

You'll have to build up your strength gradually to do more chin ups then eventually pull ups (which are harder). To do that, perform as much chin ups you can in perfect form, after you can't do them anymore, pull yourself up, bend your knees and hold as long as you can, then lower yourself slowly (at least 5secs) before you are completely hanging (but make sure you still support yourself and shoulders are not popped out of its sockets) hold for another 5-10secs. Basically keep doing these hanging and negatives until you get stronger and stronger.

There is muscular endurance and muscular strength. You can build up both.

-Muscular endurance deals with moving a certain load more times. Improvement mainly comes from increasing reps/time/frequency

-Muscular strength is simply moving more of that load. Improvement mainly comes from increasing the load itself.

There is some overlap between the two, but usually you're training maily mainly one or the other. In this case, it's muscular endurance.

Assuming you suck at push ups, initially, you'll build neurological efficiency at doing push ups. It's often confused with strength/muscle gains, but it's basically your body getting better at it because it's learned the movement completely.

Then, you'll gain some actual strength, along with endurance, as you work your way up to 100 push ups with good form. This process can take a few weeks or several, just depends on the individual. Eventually, in theory anyway, you should master doing 100 push ups 5 days a week with good form. At that point you're just doing maintenance work. You'll have peaked your muscular strength and endurance improvements for that particular routine.

Like I've recommended to you before. GO PICK UP A BOOK. You need to learn the basics and that's not going to happen by asking very specific questions about very specific routines every few weeks. Go read up and get a general idea of how to work out.

You could start with something simple like this -

    Seven minute workout

Push yourself and see how you do and if you're tired at the end. Then you can extend the workouts that you want to do for longer like the pushups.

It's not gonna drastically make you super fit super fast but should get you in the right direction.

A few months ago, I did that workout while wearing a heart rate monitor and found it only burned about 100 calories. Not very effective. I think if you did it 3-4 times in a row, it would be OK.

Your body will get used to any workout/exercise and you will plateau. For absolute beginners? Don't worry about it. You won't have to start worrying about that until you actually gain some muscle.

Pretty much. Its still good though, but if you're really looking to put on mass/build real strength you're gonna have to go with weights.

Whats your weight/height? Thats not alot of calories but everyones different.

If you're getting a really low amount of protein, a high amount of fat/carbs, you wouldnt see anywhere near the results if you ate properly. You typically need about a gram per pound of bodyweight (lean) in order to build muscle. Say you're getting 100 grams of protein, and say 300 carbs and 100 fats, you're just shooting yourself in the foot. nutrition plays a MASSIVE role, I didn't see any real results until i really focused on getting 200ish grams of protein.

Watch a few Zyzz for 30 minutes before working out to get your pumped. At the very least it'll improve your dance moves.

not enough information. Need height/weight/age to assist

also need to know your goals -- cut (lose fat) or bulk (add muscle)? You can't do both at the same time very effectively. Better to cut, then bulk. So use myfitnesspal to count calories and mix in a lot of cardio or HIIT

Buy Insanity. Don't be a puff and do it.

If you are asking these questions, you need a coach. You will see far greater gains from insanity than a gym membership at a tenth of the price.

I'd like to add on doing insanity or any sort of workout does not entitle you to eat more because "you can burn it off later". I've seen countless friends destroy their gains (or in this case weight loss) because they think they are entitled to eat more, or just flat out eat junk because insanity/P90x.

well technically you can eat a lot more since you're burning anywhere from 500-1100 calories per day, but yeah, you can't be hitting the buffet at CiCi's pizza every night and expect to be ripped.
