This gives me a bit of hope though: Oliver_Saxon If you know how Buck and crew end Dexter... could you at least tell us if it is an ending you are satisfied with for a character you brought to life so well? Permalink [–]iamclydephillips the ending that buck and crew came up with is satisfying to me and i think will be satisfying to the viewer as well. it's pretty powerful.
I am quite confident that know matter how the show ends that I won't care or be interested. This show blows.
there's still redemption if the finale is good. there is too much filler in this season, but i still like the characters.
I am watching for completion sake, but the level of stupidity is pretty high this season. It wouldn't be as bad if it was just another season, but for a series finale for a series that started so promising, it's disappointing. Vogel needed to be introduced 2-3 seasons ago for people to care about her. Musuka's daughter so far has been completely worthless filler that doesn't look likely to be headed some where interesting in the last episode. Hannah must be the luckiest fugitive on earth to not get caught with zero effort to hide her identity, and both Deb and Dexter thinking that hiding her at Debs was some sort of good idea makes zero sense. She is really going to try and board a commercial flight as a wanted fugitive with nothing more than a fake ID? Dexter spent the first half of the season focused on not being able to live without Deb in his life, and then decides to leave the country with minimal concern with how often, if ever he will see her. The details that are lacking just keep going and going, and it's disappointing that they couldn't come up with something better. At the same time, seeing that they can't come up with anything better is a clear sign that the series needs to end.
A happily ever after ending would have never worked for an ending so I'm at least glad it didn't go that way. I thought it was a fitting ending but it was anti-climactic to say the least.
I was hoping they would show something in that last scene, I don't know how to do a spoiler tag so I guess I'll discuss it in a few days. Great episode and it actually exceeded my expectations considering the season was blah.
