It was very obvious to me and my wife that Walt made that phone call to Skylar to clear her of everything...

    1) You should have guessed it from the changing diaper scene. Walt was ready to buy a car seat for Holly and then disappear with her. But when she started asking for Mama, you could see that Walt realized that he could not take the baby away from his mother. At this point it was clear that he is going to return Holly to Skylar. He cant just return Holly to Skylar since he has seen Walt Jr. call the police and he knows they are at his house the moment. Also, since the whole point of him returning Holly to Skylar is so that she grows up with her mom, he has to clear Skylar's name. No point of returning Holly to his mom if the mom is going to be behind bars. So he has to 1) return Holly and 2) clear Skylar. The phone call lets him do both...1) Gives the location of the baby via trace 2) clears Skylar of any wrongdoing.

    2) Before he begins talking to Skylar, he asks her if she is alone and if the police are there. This is a giveaway. Of course he knows the police is there. He had seen Walt jr. make the call to the police and of course they are going to be at his house. Of course, he also knows the phone call is being recorded and is being traced. The purpose of asking if the police is there is so that he can make it look like he is yelling/berating Skylar while actually taking all the blame himself and clearing her of wrong doing while making it all seem like, " Oh! I thought this conversation was only between me and my wife only".

    3) If you were late to the party, you should have realized what was going on by the change in Skylar's voice and tone. At some point, she realizes what Walt is doing and genuinely apologizes to him. Also, Walt's tone in that conversation is a dead giveaway.

Walt crying was the dead giveaway to me. I thought it was quite obvious what they were trying to show.

I didn't get it until the next day. I think I was still trying to process Hank's death, then Jessie tortured and forced to cook again, then the whole scene with Walt, Skylar and Junior. When Walt made the call though, it seemed so out of character for him that my first thought was, I guess the killing of Hank really put him over the edge. I've been watching this show long enough that I should've picked up on it.

Holly won't be returned to Skylar because they traced the call, she'll get returned because he left a note on her baby carriage containing all the necessary information.

I was thinking during the phone call that he was smart for allowing the trace for them to find Holly. Then I was thinking, no way is he really going to leave his infant daughter all alone.

Incredibly smart move in the end with the Fire Dept.

I actually thought he was real pissed when he called her a stupid beyach. One thing that hit me yesterday was the fact that through all of the comparisons of gus and walt, Gilligan couldn't let walt fully become evil or else we as viewers would go against him. The fact that he agreed to finish all of this and turn himself in still shows he is the good person we rooted for. He and gus share the same greed and selfishness but not the same evil.

Hmmm...hard to know how seriously to take those items. Dean Norris claimed he was given the "Tuco's grill" prop in last week's Talking Bad episode.

Unless there were more than 1 of those, I would suspect that at least some of those items are fake.

Possible it's fake. I have no proof of authenticity.

They often have more than one of the same prop.
