I get anywhere from 49 to 66 down and 12 up. Would that be sufficient to host a vlc stream?

I'm definitely willing to help if someone can show me how to set it up.

I'm not sure how that's done but those VLC links came from a loophole in International League Pass broadband and their content provider (Neulion)

It sounds like TXU for the energy service, they are bad from the top to the bottom. Go back to the topic, I could switch to Comcast if I am not a member of the clutchfans, then it would be a huge mistake. Reading comments from this side, I decide to renew my directTV for another term even with the cost of missing lots of the Rockets games. I am really not wanting to deal with a bad service company after TXU for my energy service.

I had posted earlier about a friend whose company does a lot of business with the Rockets. He was told at the partner forum that while their are some legal hurdles, the Rockets are exploring the possibility of making deals with the individual providers on their own. Again, this may just be a ploy by the Rockets to keep advertisers from jumping ship, but they are being told that the Rockets will be on TV this season. At least it's a ray of hope for those of us who don't have the option of switching to Comcasst even if we wanted to.

Does anyone have experience with the Xfinity App showing live programming through Xbox/Apple TV etc.?

My girlfriend has Comcast and someone she works with said that if I download the app, she should be able to login and I would be able to watch Comcast live programming. It definitely seems to me like there should be an additional charge for that, otherwise people could just share cable by streaming it through these apps. What's the catch here?

    From their FAQ site:

    http://xbox.comcast.net/faqs.html

So if you have their internet? Yes, I think. If not? No.

Also, the Xfinity app isn't for live TV, its just for On Demand (TV shows and movies)

However, Comcast does provide access to the ESPN3 app which allows you to live stream a ton of sports (Rockets will be blacked out)

    From the above Faqs:

Q: Does Comcast plan to bring live, linear channels directly on my Xbox 360?
A: We do not have plans to deliver live, linear channels on the Xbox 360 at this time.

Yeah, just found the info on the Xfinity AnyPlay app.

It does indeed do live programming, however it looks like it will only work in the home network of the person with the account using iPad/iPhone or Android devices.

    Huh, interesting.

Looks like you need another device and pay $10/mo in addition to everything you mentioned

Does this mean if we have league pass we can watch the opposing team's broadcast for each Rockets game and not be blacked out?

So does this mean we can get LP in Houston and still watch?

It probably means that for the games that are available and not blacked out, you can choose to watch the broadcast from either the home or away team. I suspect home Rockets games will still be blacked out in Houston.

    What RVR said.

Meaning you can choose your broadcasters, either the home team or the away team.

People often complained about having to listen to [team x]'s announcers. "I have to listen to Denver's announcers?! These guys suck!"

Sorry for any confusion. No, league pass isn't going to suddenly be unblacked out in Houston.

Wish Clutchfans would make a bigger deal about this. Clutch being bought out by comcast with these advertisements sucks. I would probably do the same in his position but no media in Houston really cares. I know its Texan season but WTF!!!! Another year of Bull#### from both sides.

What are you talking about? Clutchfans has no affiliation with Comcast. If you're seeing advertisements for Comcast on the site, that's for an entirely different reason, one that you should probably look up if you're curious to actually know and comprehend.
