I know that Verizon's iPhone 5 is essentially "unlocked" and can be used on other carrier's networks, so I'd bet it would be the same for the 5s.
So it won't be limited to just HSPA+ on AT&T or t-mobile. it'll have both HSPA+ and LTE from both carriers?
Probably around noon our time. 10am pacific is usually when they like to release updates and hold their conferences.
Don't know about LTE, But I'm not at all an expert on this stuff. Here's a link talking about Verizon's iPhone 5 being "unlocked" at launch: http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/21/verizon-iphone-5-unlocked-att-t-mobile-video/
I had to delete a lot of apps, pics and videos only to find out you need wifi too. My job won't give us the password.
That sucks, but hey from an IT standpoint, we don't want all these users downloading iOS7 on the network. I'd block the update server on the firewall
Sucks that you need wifi. I can connect to the wifi here at the office, but my phone never works on it while connected. I tried to do it at Barnes and Nobles, but it was entirely too slow. Would've take over an hour to download.
I just updated mine. Took me a while. It was giving errors all the time but that was during downloading since there were so many people probably trying to download it. Looks pretty slick so far. A few of the gestures have changed which you have to get used to. Like swiping to right to delete things is now a swipe to the left which brings up delete and some other options.
yep..me too. on my iPhone it got pretty far to being complete, when it said, "Can't download update at this time" or something like that. My iPad didn't get far before it just wouldn't download it...said the download failed.
One thing I don't like so far is that when a call ends, it goes to the Recents page in Phone whether you were there or not.
There could be an option to prevent that. How about if you use the lock/wake button to hang up? Does it still go to recent? This is how I trained myself to hang up calls so I don't "butt-call" someone by mistake.
I couldn't get it to install right from the phone but I did it through iTunes and it worked fine. I'm digging some of these features.
