That just has to do with the reviews Metacritic is pulling in. It is silly, I agree, but some reviews only count for one version of the game (Xbox Magazine 10/10 will only count for 360, not 360/PS3). I see some reviews that probably should count for PS3 too, but don't for some reason. Reviewers only get one copy of the game, and I guess it is up to them whether they want it to "count" for both platforms. Most of Rockstar games were started on 360 I believe, with the exception of this game and LA Noire (which started as a Sony exclusive, so no surprise). Pretty much the same. The 360 has some advantages on cutscene framerates IIRC, though PS3 has better framerate during gameplay (generally just a few FPS difference though, and generally bad for both). I think there is some glitch on the 360 version that is causing textures (like ground ones primarily) to be lower-res, but is is pretty minor stuff. Pretty solid game on both platforms.
I love the customization of cars. It is similar to Forza I feel bad though, once I noticed Michael's net worth, I spent all of his money modifying 2 different cars.
So the game has brought in $800M+ in sales in the first 24 hours. That's pretty good. Looks like that $265M+ budget wasn't such a bad idea.
I don't know about anyone else, but once I got to Trevor and tried to start doing the bounty missions (given by Maude) I've had trouble since it doesn't put any sort of marker on your map. She just gives you some tiny hints about where to look but I wasn't having much luck. After some googling I found a page that helps a lot, showing you the locations of the bounties. Man my roommate has been playing this game all day and every character in the damn game is either a sociopath or a psychopath. They also yell way too much.
Too much school and work or else I would be playing this game non stop. Does anyone expect a price drop by Black Friday?
Same, it takes maybe 5 minutes at most. Well worth the wait to not have loading screens during gameplay. Did yall play the download disc?
If it's anything like that piss-poor GTA IV port on PC, then they can make us wait longer and optimize it so it doesn't run like dog **** on high-end gaming computers that IV did (still is? Haven't played it in a year).
Also, and for the sake of all that is Based God, no Games for Windows Live integrated...DEAR BASED GOD, NO.
