Yup. People are writing off United because Fergie isn't there. Fellaini is much better than anyone we had last year. Midfield wise.

    Convincing 4-2 win.

Moyes UCL career off to a good start and Rooney with 200 goals for United

Rooney should of worn the Cech style helmet instead of that padded headband. Would of been much cooler!

Bayern Dortmund Barca Real Juventus United City PSG Napoli Chelsea

So at around 6. The other teams did get farther than us in the CL last year but I can see people putting us right around where Real Madrid is. Above or below depends on how much impact Isco and Bale will have this coming season.

Honestly, I think Bale and Ronaldo's shot on sight policy is gonna clash at some point this season. That and the fact that Bale plays better on the left is going to be a bit of a problem too.

Chelsea 1:2 vs. Basel, pretty embarassing for Mourinho. Can't wait for the "better team lost" and "we were robbed" comments from this pathetic guy.

Arsenal didnt play particularly well but did enough to get a win on the road which was very important considering the tough group they are in.

What's funny is that any other manager Abramovich probably would have fired by now, or at least be extremely close to pulling the trigger.

Mourinho though has a proven track record of winning. He's won everywhere besides Madrid. I don't believe he has "lost it". I am sure Abramovich will not fire him unless he does really bad this season. I'm not sure why they keep buying midfielders but ignore that they really need a world-class striker. If not for the bankrolled French clubs, Cavani or Falcao would have been at Chelsea right now.

Aspas is working well within Rodgers' system. He's not yet ready for a full time job at the PL, but he's showing good signs. He moves well overall.

Victor Moses scored in his Reds debut. I think he'll be a special player given the chance. Don't know if Chelsea will give him some run next year. If not, Pool is more than happy to keep him on a permanent basis.

Sakho did fine for the majority of the Swansea game. I still rate Agger higher than any other defender, but we'll see how Sakho develops with the team.

Cissokho looked good. He's strong and quick. Though his first touch can be greatly improved. He's 26 so I don't know how much more improvements we'll see.

Don't know much about Llori and Luis Alberto. We'll have to wait and see. I'm hoping good things from the first.

I hope Moses can be kept permanently. I think out of all our purchases, I put my hopes on Moses and Sakho for the immediate future.

Did I miss anyone? I give Rodger's a solid B+ for right now for his transfers.

Wow... unbelievably disappointing game from Liverpool, starting from the team selection. Rodgers tinkering with lineups like he's playing PES 2014. Really showed how unprepared he was for the whole week. Sturridge spending way too much time on the right flank while Aspas takes his place at the center... weird. Midfield game was dead without Coutinho.

Then the team seemed to forget how to play one-touch passes. They were giving possessions away like it was going out of style. Often just kick it towards the opposite box hoping someone would be there to do something about it.

For a team who played FOUR CBs at the back, they sure were leaky as hell. Couldn't keep up with the number of times a Southhampton player walked in the box from the midfield, passing up 3-5 Pool players like he was taking a stroll in the park with ease.

Then players with no business handling the ball were holding it for way too long. There's got to be at least a good 15-20 times a Pool player stood with his leg over the ball, waiting for the opponent to take the ball away. Literally stood like a statue and ignored all his teammates until someone kicked the ball off his foot.

I doubt this game will be a "wake up call" for the manager and players. Everyone was equally disappointing (except for Mignolet). I guess we can kind of look forward to Suarez' return on Wednesday... though I wouldn't be surprised if he plays while pouting until January.
