I have many but they're all covered up and cannot be seen unless I become complete bruh and take off my shirt. The only one that shows is my wifes name on my ring finger which I'm sure I will regret one day.

^^^ BOOM. ALSO: Pics of date of hiring and date of "full back design" and "usual outfit to work" or GTFO.

Still don't know what that has to do with my age.

The stigma against tattoos is so outdated. Why would I care if my child's teacher has a tattoo? I work in IT where it is generally accepted and it's not uncommon at all to see people walking through the halls with full sleeves of tattoos visible.

I always wanted a tattoo but I can't make up my mind on something I have to keep for the rest of my life. Guess that's why I'm also not married.

tattoos make people look like they are trying to cover up something. Either mental or physical problems.

it doesn't matter to employers what the tattoo represents. it's the impression it gives to the public. there's always a stigma attached to tattoos. people easily place judgment as soon as they see one regardless if it's an arm sleeve of an H.R. Giger design or 4x6 portrait of your dog fido.

I agree with you on this, although I fear that you and I are in the minority! The facts are, whether we like it or not that "The Times They Are a-Changin". Welcome to the Age of Aquarius!...

Teaching is unique in many ways but, on this topic, it's important to note how incredibly difficult it is to find someone qualified that actually wants to teach children. I'd much rather my kids be taught by an intelligent individual with many tattoos than what many students unfortunately get, an average student that couldn't make the cut in other professions.

We hire people with tatts all the time. And personally my arms are covered in them, "short sleeved" style.

And that's very sad, BamBam... very, very sad. People just don't care anymore.
You're just very picky and that might be a good trait, not a defect. I see you understand that MARRIAGE is eternal and something which we should all take seriously. Don't compare that with getting a tattoo, though.

    You sure?

A good tat cost a great deal of money and after 10 years they need work done.

If you want to get rid of it it cost double what you paid.

Sounds a lot like marriage to me.

What does it say about hair? Does having it hurt or help?

most of my friends have large/visible tattoos. obviously, they're my friends, I see them no differently than before they got tattoos. but personally, i'm not a fan. I don't have any tattoos and i'm not particularly attracted to men who have them. I can't even explain why, it's probably residual puritanical brainwashing, but I just can't get with 'em. I said for years i'd get one, just cause nearly all of my friends, my sister, pretty much my whole extended family has them, but I can't think of one thing i'd want etched in my skin for the rest of my life. obviously it's a personal choice and many people have serious tats to commemorate something important, but I think ink-free just looks more aesthetically pleasing.

I work in O&G and not one employee, contractor or client I've met has any visible tattoos.

I have plenty of friends with tattoos and have no objection to them. I would get one but like you there is nothing I want that I would be happy with for a long time. A lot of my friends end up getting tattoos over their tattoos to cover up what they once liked but then regretted. It also depends on workplace attire for a lot of tattoos. I have a friend who is a nurse with nearly a full sleeve but always wears long sleeves under her scrubs and no one really knows she has them.

Swoly, as usual, has a black-and-white view of the topic at hand. And, as usual, his opinion is baseless and outdated.

I'm in the same boat. I had thought about it at one time but I can't get past the fact that I would never be able to think of anything that I would want. Permanent is an awfully long time.

I do not begrudge anyone that has tattoos but it is difficult for me to feel sorry when having a tattoo limits your options in the future. You knew that when you got it that it would be a CLM. Everyone makes decisions that you have to live with. Tattoos are no different.

    I know :(

But at least when I go out to check the mail with my shirt off, the whole hood knows that I'm bout it bout it. And they don't want none.
