Any idea why I hear / experience a small gulping noise/sound whenever I drink water? not just for water, but for all beverages. I had an endoscopy done (tube down throat for pics) , and the doctor said nothing was wrong. I know there probably isn't any doctor on here, but perhaps some of you may know why this is happening?
When you drink anything quickly you swallow air along with the liquid. Your gulping sound is due to your gulping.
are you sure everyone experiences a gulping sound every time they drink? i thought it was only if you 'gulped' something down super fast? It doesn't matter the speed in which i'm drinking, i hear the gulping sound regardless. off topic, but do you have a yt channel?
thanks, so my throat muscles are tight? could this be the reason for when i experienced throat tightness a while back as well?
also, that link says to drink warm water. the water i drink is almost always cold, so perhaps that could also be a problem?
I think I've experienced the same sound when swallowing food or drink b4. It was due to dislodged ear wax moving around deep within the ear canal. It was more of a crackle/popping than gulping sound. Could also be demonic possession.
I think the throat tightness would be the cause and not the result of your gulping. I don't know if warm water would help. jocar has a good theory too--it may be demonic possession.
i have experienced this before. it turns out my esophagus was detached from my pharynx. no wonder i hadn't been able to reign in the low gulping sounds. relax your throat.
