What else would he possibly be buying that gun for other than to attempt to use it on them? I think enough mysteries have been revealed at this point to be able to conclude that the gun is meant for them.
I worry that Marie is going to be killed by the Nazis as collateral damage. Jesse told Todd the tape is at their home and they'll be on the warpath. Other than that, I don't feel comfortable predicting anything. I'm curious to see if it's the Nazis that out Walt and ransack his home. Count me among the disappointed that Saul's getaway guy wasn't Huell in a minivan.
This seems plausible. Walt disappears. He blames Jesse for the events that led to Hank's death. He stews in his anger but finds some comfort in his belief that Jack and Todd eventually finished him off. He somehow finds out about the re-emergence of the ultra pure blue meth. And he realizes that Todd wasn't capable of making a product of that quality and that Jesse must still be alive. His anger and hatred of Jesse return. He's also furious at the Nazi's for not following through on their agreement. For stealing $70M of his money. For now taking credit for HIS product. And he returns to just burn the whole ****ing thing to the ground. ReTodd can never get it up to Walt's/Jesse's quality by himself. He intended for Jesse to coach him until he got it, but it never happens. So they keep Jesse alive to cook for them indefinitely.
Use it on them, yes. But people have some idea that Walt's going to go Rambo on the Nazis somehow, while Hank and Gomez couldn't kill a single one. And I'd take Hank with a pistol over Walt with the M60.
Anyone else disappointed in Walt Jr. for how quickly he turned on his dad? As far as he knew, everything was good. Then Marie and his mom told him that Walt was a drug dealer and was being arrested by Hank. Then when he asked his dad about it, his dad said they were OK. When Skyler accused him of killing Hank, Walt says that he tried to save him. Skyler then goes after Walt with a butcher knife. So he could think "OK, my dad is almost definitely a drug dealer and Hank got killed while trying to arrest my dad, who may or may not have tried to prevent Hank's death. His death could have been an accident, or maybe (very likely) there's much more to the story than I know. And my mom just went after my dad with a butcher knife." With that, why would you then turn on your dad like he did? Seemed really crappy of him. He needs to die now.
I think Walt Jr. could have forgiven a lot, but Hank dying is a line that both he and Skylar would not cross. Walt has always said it was about family, and the death of a family member permanently forced him out of his own.
Because Walt had become transparent and erratic. The way Walt was trying to get everyone out of the house, it was all obviously true. I though Walt jrs reactions were a great moment in the episode
No, people have some idea that Walt's going to attempt to go Rambo on the Nazis. You are saying that you think he will too.
I agree, it seems like he did break a little fast. His world is toast now. He wasn't thinking straight and his emotions are all scrambled. Everything he thought he knew about his dad was just freshly squeezed out of his soul. He needs to ba content with what he has left of his family.
No, he knows nothing about how Hank actually died. Someone else, like say some Nazis, could have been the ones to actually kill him. As far as he knows, it could have been a car wreck, or someone with a beef with Hank (he's DEA after all) who killed Hank with Walt somehow escaping. My point is: Walt is his dad, and he obviously cares very much about him. His uncle dying for some reason changed all that, despite him not knowing anything about how Hank actually died. ::EDIT:: BTW, I'm not saying this to speak negatively of the acting/directing/writing, as I could see someone in Walt Jr's place doing what he did. I just think it's the wrong reaction, personally.
Well, he looked at his dad as a hero. And you saw how pissed he was when he skylar and Marie told him about it. Then comes Walt. Now he sees that maybe they were telling the truth. I mean, if you were "OK", you wouldn't have to leave your life and run away. On top of that, he finds out Hank is dead and his dad was involved in some way. His mom and dad get into a scuffle and naturally, you are going to side with the mom. This was once Walt had the upper hand. Seems like a reasonable action in the moment. You really think you can sit there and think everything out that you wrote? Lol that's not how it goes down. Everything is happening so fast.
Everything I know about Hank Jr's character would have led me to believe that he would think his dad dealing drugs would be "cool". Until Hank dying I suppose.
Having never separated my parents during a knife fight I can't speak with actual experience, but I would think that if you cared about your dad the way WJ does/did, then you would want to find out for sure if he did something "bad" enough that you would make want him banished from your life rather than just jump to that conclusion. ::EDIT:: Full disclosure: I am unapologetically pro-Walt, and I don't think anything could change that at this point. So you could say that's clouding my vision here.
I think he was afraid Walt was going to kill his mom. He didn't interfere physically until Walt was on top and in possession of the knife.
I'm glad they killed Hank. And, of course, the phone call was brilliant. But, I thought the flashback at the beginning was unnecessary padding. And, can anyone explain why Skyler believed Marie? Seemed like an obvious setup.
