    Poll coming up ASAP.
Genuinely curious after ChankMcStank brought up in the other thread that the desktop PC market is dying / stagnant / usurped by mobile computing.

I think a better poll is which device do you use more often.

Desktop PC appropriately is a dying product. Mobility/Convenience over Stationary, thats fairly easy to advance past really.

I got a smartphone on 4G, old rotting desktop PC, a passable mp3 player. All I need.

I used to think I'd be at the forefront of geek tech. Go-Go Gadget Everything.

Now I don't care much. Its not whats important in life. (I don't care about "wearable computing" near as much as I thought I would) I don't think Skynet is upon us but I don't think the tools define US, its WE at ALL TIMES control the tools. (But we just can't help ourselves)

But I'll be getting a laptop/tablet for Christmas to retire the desktop, can't wait. And I'll get some health & exercise equipment, Nike+Fuelband, etc. THATS whats important.

    - Desktop PC in my study, custom built. GTX 670 factory OCed, i7-860 overclocked to 3.5 GHz. Primary gaming machine, also use for work, internet, etc.
    - Small-form-factor HTPC in my living room, also custom built. Radeon HD 7850 factory OCed. Runs XBMC and Steam in Big Picture Mode. Main device for streaming music, movies and TV shows.
    - Denon AVR-2313Ci in living room
    - Energy Take Classic 5.1 speakers and Energy 10" subwoofer in living room
    - Raspberry Pi in bedroom, runs XBMC. Secondary media streaming device.
    - Dell XPS laptop bought several years ago which I haven't used that much.
    - Google Chromecast in bedroom.
    - Synology NAS where all my local media is stored
    - iPhone 4S
    - iPad 2 (great for work and for lunch breaks at places with wifi)
    - PS3, X360, Wii and a few older consoles that I'm not yet ready to get rid of. I'm planning to go one console only (PS4) next gen.

    Desktop home and work
    iPhone work
    iPad home

Just can't see desktops dying out with the need for word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
