Only Clippers, Pacers, Nets, Heat & Spurs are better.

Why did spurs get a higher rating? What did they do in the offseason?

They're grading the squad as a whole rather than moves in the offseason.

    FYI for the newbs-

Fran Blinebury was a former Rockets beat writer years ago, and ended up getting fired for one reason or another. He's notorious for being bitter towards Les and the front office for blaming them for him getting fired.

Long story short, a B+ from Fran is like a A++++++ from anyone else.

LOL at giving our frontcourt an A while our backcourt gets a B+ only

    Thats just ridiculous.

    wtf is the writer smoking.
"After years spent chasing a franchise player, the Rockets came up with a pair of them in Harden and Howard"

yet you give them a B for getting 2 of them? lol.

still need a solid power forward ??? oh we traded away the big body with size that highest mid range jump shot percentage on the team, had just started knocking down the 3 nothing but net from the corner as consisent as anyone but parsons on the team, could post up, & put a big body on a PF when we were playing a team like that has a large PF with a post game.

My point was wen they are giving an offseason grade, it should be based in the moves each team made to improve and not whether the team is good or not on paper.

Rockets are right behind clippers and pacers in terms of getting better in the offseason. Argument could be made for the heat (but that can only be known when we get to see if oden is going to be healthy or Not).

Not many teams did better than the rockets, especially the spurs.

The Rockets got the only superstar to move during the offseason. Nobody had a better season than us. This is a disgraceful article by Blinebury.

And that only earns a B+? You must still be bitter, Fran.

This does not appear to be a grade of the off season acqusition. It is more an overall rating of the team.

Team still needs to figure it out on the court. I think everyone expects the new teamates to click and be effective. Though it might take a few games for it all to vome together.

    There's no "need" to find a 4-man.

End of game we go small ball; it's more crucial we find a 6th man swingman that is starting caliber or at least gives us some serious quality within the closing unit.

DMo/Tjones playing 30-36mpg covering the 4 is fine. Both bring different things.
