Me too ..what a ridiculous rule ... upon further review there was no penalty ,however one will still be enforced
I hate Manziel...but Jesus he's an amazing player. Also Mike Evans will be a first round pick in the draft. He's going to get paid.
This is what I took from the game too. Bye to Clowney, bye to Bridgewater, hello to Evans as the newest draft stock skyrocketing prospect.
I'm back from the game. 1. Kyle Field is a truly atrocious stadium. The renovation can't come soon enough. Tiny concourses, cramped seating, disgusting bathrooms with horse troughs. Miserable experience watching the game, too. ...and my seats were 6 rows from the field. 2. It was hotter than schit, which made it even more miserable. No beer sold in the stadium -- another fail. 3. Bama played "name that score" against the weak Aggie defense. 4. The game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. A&M made a late run on a freak play. I expected bama to win, and they proved me right.
I think you guys hate on bigtexxx to much cause of his personality and/or posts from other threads..As an Aggie alumnus (and I'm a 2%er), I agree that Kyle Field at its current state is pretty ****ty compared to other stadiums (but the gameday atmosphere is one of the best in the nation), but the renovation should fix that... And most college stadiums don't sell alcohol, so I disagree with that... And yes the game was not as close as the score says, and I think JFF is lucky he didn't get another pick or two. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see another loss or two cause this defense is realllllllly bad... But with that being said, A&Ms offense can still outscore most offenses in the SEC, even with the defense sucking. 8-4 at worst but 9-3 or even 10-2 seems like a reasonable prediction
Johnny got lucky for some few plays... I really don't know how he survived those tackles eventually leading to big plays..
1. You are really going to complain about Kyle Field after going to your home games at the rust bucket called Rice Stadium? Sure, Kyle is dated and had its problems. The renovation will completely fix that. 2. It was hot in the afternoon in Texas in September? What a shocker. 3. The Aggie defense needs a lot of work, no doubt. I suspect they will improve as the season progresses. Next season, all those freshmen playing will have a year of experience. I expect a greatly improved defense. 4. LOL at freak play. In case you haven't been paying attention, JFF has made his name making freak plays. It is only a freak play if it isn't done habitually.
Rice Stadium has wide concourses and it's easy to access. FAR superior sight lines as well. The smaller crowds help`with the congestion issue. I'm also used to watching football games from suites at Reliant, and sitting in the Kyle Field stands was truly an atrocious experience. I won't be going back unless it's in a suite. On the flip side, the tailgating experience was pretty good, although not as good as LSU, Notre Dame or Ole Miss.
