I absolutely LOVED how Dempsey was shut down and there was a whiny baby cry after he didn't get a foul called for someone blowing on him. I was in 209 and missed the first goal, but the second was a thing of beauty.

Fantastic writeup(might need to wipe the eyes once or twice though) from mlssoccer.com The relevance to the Dynamo I guess would be his playing with Brad Davis when Brad played for FC Dallas/the Burn. Just thought some might enjoy a nice sad read http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...later-all-things-bobby-rhine-left-behind-word
Sunday's game against New York is definitely a MUST WIN for the Dynamo. The Dynamo have 8 games left (5 at home and 3 on the road). They have to get 3 points for this if they want to make the playoffs. Eastern Conference 1. Montreal 42 pts, 12-7-6 (9 games left) 2. New York 42 pts, 12-9-6 (7 games left) 3. Kansas City 42 pts, 12-9-6 (7 games left) 4. Philadelphia 39 pts, 10-8-9 (7 games left) 5. New England 37 pts, 10-9-7 (8 games left) -------------------------- 6. Houston 37 pts, 10-9-7 (8 games left) 7. Chicago 35 pts, 10-10-5 (9 games left) 8. Columbus 32 pts, 9-13-5 (7 games left) 9. Toronto 22 pts, 4-12-10 (8 games left) 10. D.C. 14 pts, 3-18-5 (8 games left)
Starting to feel like they're not going to the playoffs. They're just falling apart at the worst possible time. 4-1 loss to NY in a game they really need points from. I realize they're essentially being punished for having a team with players who play internationally...but the depth just isn't there. They really need to get out from under AEG and with an owner willing to spend on some better players. I like Brad Davis and all...but he's getting up there. Will Bruin is never going to be anything more than a 8-10 goal per season forward. He just doesn't have the skill on the ball and that knack for being in the right place at the right time. Dom and Cannetti need to quit trying to do everything on the cheap and go after a real DP or 2.
What is wrong with Caleb?!?!? Why did the management staff decide to put in Ching instead of speedier and more skilled Carr after Dom left?!?!? We only had one sub left after taking out Chabala (who was doing well) to put in Ching, so we used that on Ownby? https://golazo.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2013-09-08-houston-dynamo-vs-new-york-red-bulls/video <- sad stuff here.
Adam Moffat has been traded to Seattle for Servando Carrasco. http://www.houstondynamo.com/news/2...fielder-servando-carrasco-seattle-sounders-fc
Is that the guy who's dating Alex Morgan? But this is a bad trade in my opinion unless its for salary cap reasons i guess.
Moffat being one of our best players, and the fact that we are also getting a pick seems to indicate to me this is the team giving up on the season. Never thought I'd see happen with this team or management. Shame, I thought we had depth at all positions this season but when push came to shove way too many break downs and no one stepped up to be an offensive weapon or defensive force besides those that usually are called up for International play. Also, aren't the Dynamo still one of the lower spending team in the MLS, WTF is up with that?
Yes he is. More Alex Morgan sightings in H-town. Too early in my mind to quit on the season but that's basically what Canetti and Dom have done. Moffatt was basically willing the team on imo. Bruins goals drying up didn't help at all especially after he returned from riding the pine at the GC. Sigh oh well. Seattle Sounders-MLS Champions? Too early? Or maybe FC Dallas.
I dont think it necessarily means they have given up. Ultimately, Moffat and Clark are both holding midfielders, having them both on the field together just was not working. One of them was eventually gonna have to go and Moffat ends up being the odd man out. Now Clark doesn't have as much offensive pressure on him and he can play his more natural position now
