its still the same company from before their CEO stepped down (which caused the drop from $82) and they seem to have avoided bad PR bc of their see-through malfunctioned pants more and more ppl think its cool to be an amateur yogi, and girls look sexy in em so yeah i think it will be a good buy.
TSLA is priced for total perfection right now and it looks like the chart is topping out too. When the founder of the company says the stock is overpriced then you know it's overpriced lol. That said you never know what the market will do since there was no reaction from the market by his comments. I've been short TSLA. Covered half on that sell off the other day and then reshorted some on the bounce yesterday. I'm curious if the company will do the secondary offering that is being rumored. It would make a lot of sense for them to do so. I think upside is very limited here. It would probably be good to buy the stock when they have a few hiccups with their production or some sort of random problem. If this thing ever got back near or below 100 it would probably be a huge longer term buy.
Honestly, I don't understand how an electric vehicle company w/ no dealership network and limited market can be worth so much. They probably sell less than 5,000 vehicles a month. And yet their stock is worth more than Ford or GM. TSLA just unveiled a buyback program to keep the price of used electric cars high at about 50% purchase price. Something no other car maker does.
Anybody following BYDDY ? The Chinese equivalent of Tesla, they are opening an electric bus plant in the California, with contracts to supply fleets in Los Angeles, Long Beach, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, and bunch of other European cities. Stock has gained 15% this week. Including an 8.7% jump today. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-08-04/buffett-backed-byd-seeks-u-s-electric-bus-sales-as-shares-surge.html
no but thanks for the tip. I thought KNDI was considered the china EV company. they are already profitable from selling ATVs etc in China, now they are making smartcar-sized EVs for sale and hourly rental stations.
What's going on this morning? Both HIMX and INO are down so far. I sold off my HIMX last week at around $8. Would love to get back in it, but doubt we'll see it get anywhere near $6 again.
It just happens to be that ppl are taking profits.. just natural ups and downs. I should have sold the roche news at $3 but im confident about a bigger gain coming soon.. Likely after aegis changes their rating to buy or strong buy
Lionsgate films down 2% today @ $36.26, I'm expecting price to rise when the next 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' movie comes out, but I don't know how much the stock can go up. Anybody in here invest in media companies ? I bought stock in DIS and AMCX.
Pandora media is up 12% today to $23.91. Men's Wearhouse is down 12% to $34.19, things have gone downhill for the suit & tie shop since firing their CEO and founder, George Zimmer. Which stock is a better buy ?
Nice dude. I underestimated the power profit taking would have after the sharp 30% gain on Tuesday. See where it goes tomorrow.. but Id say no lower than 2.15
