So I call up dominos today and order an 8 piece wings and cheesy bread. This is for pick up, not delivery. The guy tells me, it will be 20 dollars and change. I thought the guy got the order wrong. Are you sure? I go into my 'you-must-have-lost-your-mind' mode and repeat everything I had ordered extra slow to make doubly sure he hadn't added something to my order. We spend another few minutes rehashing the order, until I come to the conclusion that apparently dominos have lost their ever-loving mind. A few years ago i could get the same order for like 12 dollars. Then, it went up to 15 dollars. Now that **** is 20 bucks. I've never seen prices jacked up so high in my life. I don't even know what to think about what they are doing at dominos.
Um, yeah I'm with you on this one. I'm at their website now and the promo is $5.99 each if you buy any two or more and the list includes 8-pc wings and cheesy bread. Sounds like someone doesn't know how to do their job.
Why would you order by phone? Anyways, you got lied to dude. Not even close to $20 and change. Of course those are Austin prices but I don't think prices are going to vary by region anyway.
Well, I also tried to place the order with the Dominos android app and the price was 20.00 also. The promotion says that you have to ASK for it, it is not OFFERED freely and it still doesn't change the fact that the regular price for these items is 20 dollars now. Specifically the cheesy bread is 9.99. Wow.
Really? I didn't even click the promotion and the price automatically was adjusted to the price you saw in the picture I posted.
Hmmm. Did you choose the cheesy bread with the other options? I just chose plain cheesy bread and plain wings. EDIT: That's weird. Dude, literally every option for cheesy bread is $5.99 for me lol. Same as wings.
I'm with you there on delivery pizza places. Not too long ago, I ordered a stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut and the total was right at 20 dollars before I tipped the delivery guy. For one pizza. It turns out that a lot of it was delivery fees and whatnot. Not too long after that I ordered one while driving home and picked it up on my way. It was only 13 dollars if I picked it up myself.
If you're concerned with eating on the cheap and still interest in chain-Pizza you should never order directly off of the menu. I refuse to pay more than $9/Large Pizza at Papa Johns (or I guess Dominos, although I don't understand why you'd want to eat it).
OP, you might as well go to Little Caesar's or find a local pizza place. Prices will be a LOT cheaper and to be honest, in my opinion, quality is better than those chain-restaurants.
Dominos routinely has amazing deals for great prices and their pizza is ****ing delicious. Also, one time I had to pay $5 extra for a pizza because their online system was down and the promo was online only. Next day I got an E-Mail from the owner of the Dominos I ordered from and he put in a credit for a free pizza in my name without me even saying anything. I had just casually mentioned it when I ordered. Dominos is cool in my book.
It's not even worth $5. Dominoes is ****ing disgusting. They by far make the worst pizza in the world. And like you said, it's been getting really expensive. I'd rather have a frozen pizza than their crap
Don't these people always send emails for like 50% off on the whole purchase? That's probably why the prices are jacked
