I don't generally like pop music much at all. But I think the song is actually pretty decent. But the licking the hammer and the part where she nuzzles against the chain. Just don't get it.
Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" video. As music 2 out of 10. As soft core p*rn 4 out of 10. Average grade 3 out of 10. Miley's voice coach/autotune producer doesn't have much cause to be proud...her personal trainer however.... And yes, I guess I am objectifying women...or woman but I haven't had any caffeine this morning so I am still a reptile.
She's so freakin annoying. Bieber and her are the opposite of G's but they try so so hard to portray something they're not. Zero cred.
I don't get the uproar over her recent antic. I mean, is she really doing any thing different from current or past female pop stars? Her music sounds the same as theirs. I think they only difference is they weren't former Disney stars. She's not going to be Hanah Montana the rest of her life. Young people tend to rebel. I just watched the wrecking ball video and I'm underwhelmed. Looks like a typical generic pop music video to me.
To me, it seems like the whole music awards thing was about how weird and uncoordinated she looked up on stage; i didn't mind the the sexual nature of her music but the performance was complete and utter **** (including her vocals). The tongue out thing looked awkward as hell, it is like she is trying to be something she is not and that is cringe worthy. The music video for wrecking ball is odd again because she takes a somewhat emotional song and turns it completely sexual for no reason...the music video starts out with her crying and all of sudden she is making out with a hammer wtf...
Lol I've seen plenty of horrible performances and music videos that make no damn sense. Pretty sure ever year on the VMAs, there is a performance that makes you say, "WTF?". She aint first. And does anyone not look awkward sticking out their tongue like that? Maybe this is who she really is, a wacky attention seeking teen sensation (surprise!). And not some sweet and innocent Disney girl. I don't know, I guess I'm not surprised by any of this. I mean, I don't think she's doing anything so out of this world that we haven't seen from other pop artist.
Its what someone else said She's trying to have cred in areas she doesnt have it. And if you can sense there's over deliberate attempt, then theyre not doing it right. (She flat out said she wasnt into Jayz or hiphop when she referenced him in a song) At least do it smoother and not so contrived. *And, just cuz shes in the "420 club", doesnt mean she gets more apolegetic cool points. I get that. However. After reading that article which was posted yesterday talking about how much money these people on YouTube actually make.. This chick is already pushing a hundred millions views of this video. Based on the numbers in the article, this means she has already made around $500,000 from the song/video, just from YouTube alone. People can laugh at her and her crazed cocaine-looking behavior. But pretty soon she will be able to buy another Gulfstream because of all the people watching her video for the purpose of laughing at her. So who's really laughing?
Based on that criteria then drug dealers, wall street scammers, etc, are just awesome people because they're laughing all the way to the bank.
