A few guys that you might want to pick up:

    #1 Jermaine Kearse. Seattle.
This guy looks like a beast and he could certainly put up some scary #'s this year, with his size and speed. Plus, it looks like Sidney Rice is going through his yearly injury bug. [doug baldwin is a play here as well, but Kearse has the potential to be far more than the possession receiver baldwin is.

#2, if you are in the market for rbs: Andre Ellington or Alfonso Smith. Both guys hold value, but it remains to be seen who'll be the backup.

For some reason I feel like Roy Helu will have some good games this year.

I like Helu in PPR. I like Baldwin over Kearse. I know you love Amendola like I do, would you trade him for Cobb in a non-PPR?

I picked up Helu in my league as a bench stash. If Alf Morris goes down, having Helu is like having another first round player.

I was so high on Helu after being drafted in 2011. But there's just something about his lack of durability (recurring knee problems, turf toe, etc) that makes him too great a risk. His upside is obviously there, but he just can't stay on the field. Will he get the chance to showcase his big play ability now that Morris is the clear cut #1 RB? That's the question.

Shanny is high on him too, but I figure 2 years is enough to at least carve out a larger role than 3rd down specialist. Too his credit, he has answered questions in Washington about his blitz pickups and pass protections.

At the end of the day, the only way Helu figures prominently is if Morris goes down or has a serious decline in production (unlikely). Some owners can afford to wait but, unfortunately, I'm not one of them. Wish I was.

Is this thread for deep sleepers, looking past the obvious Joique Bell's and Edelman's? If so Stephen Hill had like 9 targets, if we're talking about hail mary types.

It should be too late (Thursday) for Waiver pick ups in any competitive league. I disagree with Jermaine Kearse for the simple fact that there was not a consistent WR for the Seahawks last year. Their best bet this year is Percy Harvin coming back early from an injury.
HB--none flashed anything that shouldn't have been drafted
WR--I guess you could pick up Hankerson as a WR if he's available
TE--Julian Thomas or Jordan Cameron if somehow they went undrafted
D--Weekly decision. There should not be a team available that was undrafted.
    K--I have no idea

    RB to watch for:
Your typical and non typical handcuffs. Michael, whoever they pick in Oakland/Jax, Pierce, Bryce Brown, Helu, etc.
WRs get's more interesting. SO far I like Marlon Brown, Randle, Douglas if they are available. Keep an eye out on Patton and Streater.

He might move up on the rotation and if he does I'd like him, but right now he isn't starting and I'm not sure he saw all that many snaps. If his usage goes up he's worth a look, but as it stands, he's week 1's fools gold IMO - like Ogletree or Hill last year.

Should I dump Percy Harvin for Greg Jennings? I also have Bryce Brown, Green-Ellis on the bench.

I like Stepfan Taylor. I think he'll eventually put up #'s though no one has him right now

Hankerson played 44 of the Redskins 70 offensive snaps. He was targeted 7 times, 3rd most on the team. The Redskins were playing from behind the whole game, so RG3 threw 49 passes, which is a lot. Against Green Bay, I expect similar offensive results. I don't know if Hankerson will do much, but I'm kinda desperate at WR in one of my leagues, so I'm playing him this week.

you'd do better to get jermaine kearse. You can't look at the targets week 1 and say this guy, who had x number of snaps and targets, is all of the sudden going to be productive.

you have to look at much more. In washington, you have: Alfred Morris, Hulu, Fred Davis, Garcon, Morgan, Moss, all vying for plays. Hankerson isn't going to give you much going forward, he just doesn't have the talent.

Whereas in seattle, jermaine kearse is the #2 wide out for a team thin at that position. Plus, Kearse is supremely talented. He looks like the second coming of Marquis Colston. Remember what Colston did his rookie year?

I'm just telling you that I have a hunch kearse is going to have a big year this year.

I agree. There's gonna be games where Morris struggles, Helu gets hot and they keep him in.

Does RG3 ever throw to his backs? Seems like Helu had a 15 catch game recently, but I don't think it was with Griffin. I think Helu played a lot against Philly, but only had like 1 catch. If he's not getting any receptions, you're basically just hoping Morris gets injured.
