He would take that counter offer. He wants Amendola or Edelman. Edelman has been a non-factor his whole career - agreed. But... he was pegged as the starter last year over Welker before a season ending injury. They love Edelman. Edelman played 99% of the snaps with Amendola. I believe the Patriots have been planning to play two Amendola-types for awhile now because they tendered an offer to Welker WHILE an offer was on the table for Amendola, meaning they would have had both if Welker agreed to stay and be Bellichick's whipping boy. White is aging, in a bad way, not a good way like Gonzales and Jones is in year 3, he's going to explode. I'm fearing a 5 TD year for White. Edelman already has 2. Personally, if Amendola was healthy I'd take him over Cobb any day of the week. He's talented, way more physically talented than Welker and he's a magnet. Edelman is also getting wild target numbers. I feel like White is a safe play, Edelman's potential is high, this isn't a fluke like Hill or Ogletree from last year.
It's my girlfriend's league, I made the picks. Honestly I forget who she has but I believe it's Manning (my 1st round pick believe it or not), T. Richardson, Wilson (doh), Lacy, D. Richardson, Graham, Cameron, Amendola, Cruz, Shorts, Garcon, and another WR I think. I can do - Amendola for Cobb Edelman for White Amendola + Edelman for Cobb + White
I'm not so sure SJax is gonna be that much better than Ridley. I really think we're gonna get to see what Ridley's made of now that Vereen is out for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, I don't know if I see White (even if he finally gets healthy) stacking up to Marshall. The Bears have really focused on protecting Cutler this year. I would trade away White/SJax for Marshall/Ridley. I think.
I mean it's close. There is not a right or wrong answer here. In my mind, the heath of White is the most important factor here. I just really really value sjack.
I agree that Edelman will be a stud. But I still think Cobb would be the best player in that deal. White will be a stud for you late in the season/playoffs so worth the risk early in the season. Amendola is already hurt, and, if you haven't heard, it's almost impossible for him to stay on the field during the season. I'd offer it/take it.
i accepted the trade to give up daryl richardson for jordy nelson, because i'm weak at the WR position.. my starting RBs are shady mccoy and matt forte. my starting receivers were andre johnson, danny amendola, the flex with pierre garcon, and backup wrs with ruben randle and eddie royal.. danny amendola is out, so i thought at least jordy will contribute more to me at wr position than daryl richardson vs. forte/mccoy. what do you guys think?
also, pierre garcon is my flex, but i picked up julius thomas on thursday... should i put the TE as my flex position?
Think you done screwed up trading one of the only guys with 20 carries last weekend. Richardson's usage is through the roof right now, if Pead doesn't impede on his snaps you have a top 15 RB.
yeah, i wouldn't have given up daryl richardson either. if you watched the rams offense last weekend, you'd have seen how potent it can actually be. Richardson is going to be huge in this offense.
I just want to note that I wouldn't necessarily buy in to all this "Amendola is out" stuff. It's far from difinitive at this point. With reports that he was able to practice in a limited capacitiy yesterday, my immediate reaction was that there's some classic Belichick media manipulation going on. Just don't think anyone should be making moves with the assumption that Amendola has already been scratched for game day.
What do you think about Wilson for Richardson straight up? I had a number of people recommending that I give Wilson another week before making that move, and it's a reasonable suggestion. However, what just came in with a strong endorsement for making the move which has me thinking again.
Richardson is injured, might miss this weeks game. If he does and Pead starts and plays well, who knows what Daryl's value will be going forward. Definitely not a bad trade. I value RBs highly, but if you need the WR help, so be it.
Questions: ??? QB: Schaub vs Tennessee or Dalton vs Pittsburgh RB: Rice vs Cleveland ??? RB: Johnson vs Houston, Lacy vs Washington, Sproles vs Tampa Bay, Powell vs New England WR: Nelson vs Washington WR: Bowe vs Dallas ??? FLEX: Johnson vs Houston, Lacy vs Washington, Sproles vs Tampa Bay, Austin vs Atlanta, Wallace vs Indianpolis, Brown vs Philadelphia
One girl in my league has Kaepernick as her backup. Should I trade Matt Ryan for Kaepernick? Ryan is my starter, but Kaepernick looks promising.
