ahh this is probably why he flew last minute to go workout with Dwight, Hakeem and coaches. Hakeem Olajuwon @DR34M 12m In Aspen w/the @HoustonRockets working out w/ @DwightHoward @JLin7 Coach McHale & the coaching staff. #highaltitudes pic.twitter.com/seOkvQ5VoQ
They are purposefully working out at high altitude?? <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>In Aspen w/the <a href="https://twitter.com/HoustonRockets">@HoustonRockets</a> working out w/ <a href="https://twitter.com/DwightHoward">@DwightHoward</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/JLin7">@JLin7</a> Coach McHale & the coaching staff. <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23highaltitudes&src=hash">#highaltitudes</a> <a href="http://t.co/seOkvQ5VoQ">pic.twitter.com/seOkvQ5VoQ</a></p>— Hakeem Olajuwon (@DR34M) <a href="https://twitter.com/DR34M/statuses/377565237542518784">September 10, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
You are, of course, right. Like in Oregon where they passed that assisted suicide law and the entire state was depopulated. Or Maine, where it's illegal to have Christmas decorations up after Jan 14, and so everyone actually takes them down after Christmas. Still, tough to picture with McHale.
Don't think he really cares about first class. While in D-league he'd give his first class seat to teammates: Bighorns teammate Patrick Ewing Jr. said the guard had exceeded expectations. "I went to a major D-I school, so I was wondering what a kid from Harvard can do, but he's definitely proven himself," Ewing said. "He's got a lot of talent and he's only going to get better." Ewing was also impressed by Lin's character. While flying to away games, Lin often offered his first class seat (NBA signees receive first-class treatment) to a teammate. "We've had other signees down here before, and they've never done that, and that makes me respect him even more," Ewing said.http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=Lin-110316
I'm speculating that that matters a lot when you are 7 feet tall instead of an itty bitty point guard. Nice guy move anyway.
Lin learning postmoves make some sense in a round about way. Both he and Harden should be learning postmoves. They're both above average size players at their position and it would be fun watching them throw their weight and size against smaller guards.
Perhaps, but 6' 3", 200 lb in a United Airlines middle coach seat couldn't be that comfortable either.
He posted up Nate Robinson at around the 3:30 mark (was it before or after little Nate called him M-Fer?) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XCoBC_yq0jk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No doubt, they are figuring out Dwight's best position to receive the ball. Where is Beverly?!?!?!?!?!?
here it is...starts at 4:33... <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/18ZcxA9MDSA?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Conquisator...just for you. You referring to the play at 4:04 mark? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/45bDSyOam3g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here's Clutch's video (in case you don't want to watch the whole 4+ minutes highlights : <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/mAFaN_3qOWw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Sounds like a nice idea for getting Dwight comfortable and integrated with Rockets. There were probably other sessions like this with Harden and others too. ... maybe Aspen because Dwight seems to spend a lot of time in Colorado. It's where he went to "think" about his decision to join Rockets.
