I don't know whether to laugh or get mad, the stupidity of some people is just amazing! Reminds me of this... Spoiler (P.S) They sure have very tolerant police in China... ....... ....... .......
It could've been worse. My mom was telling me when she was in Chengdu recently she saw some people in traffic get out of their car and let their kid pull down his pants and do his business right in the middle of the street.
I just got back from China and I was in Lijiang (city on west side). On the same day I had two incidents where I saw parents let their kids drop trou in the middle of the street. One was going #1 and other was #2. And what's worse is for the #2 kid, there was a restroom not 50 ft away.
In both instances the parents where being to lazy to find a bathroom and are teaching their offspring not to respect everyone else around them. The woman on the moped on the other hand is to stupid to realize that she's endangering everyone in close proximity to her, but above all she's endangering her own son. If I were the policeman who stopped her, I would of at least giving her a fine, people usually listen/learn when money is involved.... ....... ....... .......
Except letting your kid do his business in the middle of the street is endangering the child and everyone else.
Is this the place we look down on other people because they aren't as good parents as we would be if we had any children?
Not really, but I sure am glad that this isn't the place where we are mourning the death of an 18month old child for lack of common sense. ....... ....... .......
Yeah, pretty much, especially if they deserve it. There is a social obligation to mock the stupidity of bad parents, because they are risking the lives of innocent children.
Nothing to do with Octomom; not every country has day cares and medical leave that allow parents to "have it all."
^^^^^Yes, I agree, but this story has absolutely nothing to do with day cares or medical leave, it's about safety, primarily the 18month old baby. ....... ....... .......
I was in Indonesia a few months ago and it was the same nonsense of people driving on mopeds being about as casual as you can imagine. Pretty scary.
