Looks like the Eagles/Redskins game is going to end late. I expect the Texans kickoff time to be pushed back to 9:25 or 9:30. Official decision on whether the kickoff time will be delayed will be made at 9:05.
does anybody have nfl game rewind? I just signed up for it and may try it out tomorrow to rewatch this game
Holy crap the game still hasn't started. I'm already getting sleepy. Damn my 6am job and damn these late games!!!!
Took the points and the under in a parlay. No doubt we cover 6, hopefully the defense is legit and keeps it low for SD
9:30pm central kickoff time is ridiculously stupid. Give the 2nd mnf opening game to two west coast teams.
This whole double header Monday night **** is stupid. They should have played the Colts, and we can go ahead and play the Raiders yesterday. When is the US Open's contract with CBS over. Let NBC have it or have ESPN Carry it from now on. They do this to let the AFC west team to have a home game on week 1.
The reason is because of the US Open tennis. CBS has broadcast rights to the AFC. They can't fill a Sunday late game. That's why you always see Denver, Oakland, or San Diego host the late game, and not Seattle or San Francisco. The only way an AFC west team can host a week 1 home opener is if they play an NFC opponent. That means FOX would broadcast it.
Don't think the US open coverage will affect the double header, as they (ESPN) came up with this format regardless of what was going on with CBS. They like having 2 games on opening week. They certainly (over)paid enough for the package, and will likely keep it after CBS' US Open contract expires (if ever... They've been doing it for while now) They could also always schedule an AFC west home game against a NFC opponent, and it will then be on Fox.
Yeah this is just stupid. If I want to be at all competent tomorrow, I have to miss most of the game.
