I buy nature's own at Kroger or SAMS. I've never seen it out of stock, I don't think I've ever even seen it not completely packed with loaves. Maybe it's location dependent.

Joking aside, if you don't suffer from Celiac disease or some related gluten illness, then there's no reason to prefer gluten free products over non-gluten free aside from the clueless hipster d-bag appeal of bragging about wasting money.

In some cases it's unhealthier as the processing needed to make the food "taste the same" or better requires a lot more chemicals and effort.

Or maybe gluten causes for subtle damage that you don't realize.

    Everyone:

Give up the bread. After 3 weeks of no bread, your body will feel 100 times better. You'll lose weight (if you need to) and you'll have more energy.

    Bread is the devil. :)

    this.

My wife went wheat free about 3 months ago. I was still eating wheat until about 1 month ago. What a difference it has made in my energy level, weight loss, and its so much cheaper.

A slice of Nature's Own whole grain wheat bread has 50 calories, 10g carbs, and 2g of fiber. If anyone can find a bread that beats those numbers, I would love to know about it. I'd accept more calories if it meant more fiber, but low carbs is a must.

I've TRIED to like Ezekiel bread....it's just so damn dry. I feel like I need to dip my sandwich in water when I use it.

Are you talking about just bread or all starches?

Just pure bread mostly. I know some starches are good for you, but bread was damaging my energy and things I wanted to accomplish. I have always been thin but muscular, however i wanted to lean up even more and bread does not allow that.

Plus, when I gave it up, I felt so, so good after a while.

For me, it just seems toxic.

I'll have a cookie once in awhile, but I never have bread, pizza, cake, bagels, etc..

    Nope!

It sounds like you were just having too much bread, in general, if you're including things like pizza, cake, and bagels. I think people here thought you just gave up loaf bread alone. The problem isn't bread specifically, as there are healthier alternatives. You were consuming too much white bread, which is basically sugar to your body, and definitely screws with your energy and overall well-being.
