Are you calling me a liar about my military service? That's pretty goddamned offensive, you POS.

I will send my creds to any mod of your choosing, douchebag. With the promise that you agree not to post for one year if I am telling the truth. How does that sound?

Syria Welcomes Russian Proposal of Turning Over Chemical Weapons

I just dont understand what the f our elected leaders hope to achive with any sort of military action. Kerry is a complete joke with his plastic looking face. He sure is making us look like crazy war mongers on the internaional stage. Can't believe Russia & China are the countries with a bit more sense than us.

yup based on Kerry's response it seems like for whatever reason Obama and Kerry are hell bent on some sort of military action and they keep down playing it as a "small" strike.. What a joke...

How about if I vow to leave the BBS forever if a condition is met, retire the treeman ID for a few years, (likely post under other ID's in the interim) then slink back with the old ID and pretend like nothing happened - does this sound familiar?

All that we've established for certain is that you're a fake vow bro.

The Joke is you.. Why does everything have to be about Republicans? vs Dems?

Also when did I accuse of Obama of being a liar?? All I stated was I persoanlly do not see the goal/benifits of a military strike against Syria. Looks like the majority of Americans and people around the world agree.

FYI - I am not a registered Republican and I was against the Iraq war and if it was GW still in office i'd be saying the exact same thing right now. It's people like you who change their views depending on what the persons political party affiliation is. It's pathetic.

umm so what? Being Syria's allies doesn't mean they can't think and reason rationally. And right now the US is not thinking rationally.

Yeah, I knew that would be your response.

I banned myself for a decade. You, on the other hand, are too chickensh^t to back up your words with one year.

    Coward.

So, you say it's like a fine that's "big, big enough to make you not do it again". And how do you square that with Kerry saying the strike will be "unbelievably small"?

Your analogy would be more apt if it was like a fine that was "unbelievably small, small enough not to actually deter future traffic infractions".

    Right?

No, not really. That's one comparison, my comparison has been closer to a mom slapping her kid across the face in response to something bad the kid did. Nothing permanent, nothing all that hurtful, but a warning not to pull that **** again. I mean, maybe you could posit that that slap turns the kid into a brooding antisocial who eventually pulls a Columbine or something, but that's just absurd.

That's all it is. Your scenario of nightmare scenarios where somehow everything in Syria collapses as a result of some cruise missile strikes is silly, because if that really transpired, there's a fairly reasonable chance things would have collapsed anyways.
