Here's my theory. I tried to come up with the most epic ending I could think of. 1. Gomez dies. Hank somehow escapes in Walt's car. Hank or Gomie kill Todd in the shootout. 2. Jesse is left in the desert. Without a full time cook after Todd's death, Jesse is kidnapped because they know he is capable of cooking the quality they need. 3. Hank spills everything to the DEA to make Heisenberg's identity public. Hank loses his job in the process, but he knows Heisenberg is bigger than him and doesn't want to endanger Marie. The manhunt begins. 4. Walt changes his identity, tells Skylar and kids to run. He will not see them again (that we know of) in the series. 5. Walt tracks down the Nazis to save Jesse. He also has a plan to take out Lydia. 6. Walt saves Jesse but then uses the ricin on him for crossing the great Heisenberg and making his signature blue meth. Series over. EDIT: I know there's a hole with how Walt gets away from the shootout. I don't have a theory for that yet haha.
Man, I love this show! Was I the only one expecting a laugh track when Saul showed up at the Car Wash? Especially when Walt dashes in with the baby? Really expected a gasp from the crowd then laughter, lol
I'm surprised Hank and Gomie didn't run out of ammo. And why the hell was he carrying that big ass shotgun just to capture Walt? A bit much, no?
Walt as always been about the money. Because the money means he can take care of his family. He started cooking because he needed the money. Remember when Skyler gave all his money to her side piece? You also got to understand, the state that Walt is in. He had to resort to killing "family", so I don't his mind is clear. Everything is crashing down so fast, you are bound to slip up. Nobody has a 100% track record.
agree, Hank getting shot up by cartoon villains we barely know would seem like a disservice to that character
If Hank survives because of fan service, I'll have to reconsider my "Breaking Bad is getting better with each season" stance. I agree with Rokkit, they have made some questionable leaps lately.
Yeah, kind of a big difference from one he just pulled his gun out and shot the kid on the dirt bike like he was a marksman. I know no one was shooting at him then, but the way he was able to get the kid in the head in 1 shot without really taking time to aim made me think he does a lot of practicing and then you see him in this shoot out and it just didn't add up. Whatever, not really a big deal to me, just something I noticed.
I know it has been mentioned but the whole Todd being exactly like Matt Damon thing is bothersome. He sounds just like him.
Getting killed by criminals we (and the main characters) know little about seems like one of the risks of his job. Not at all implausible. The interesting thing about Hank is his relationship with Walt and how that lead him into a situation he could not control.
I think that if Hank was gonna die, it would have been in this last episode. Who really knows where Gilligan will go at this point though? It seems like they are setting it up that way but I think just Gomez will die. At that point, Hank is going to be in hot water since he has kept this whole investigation on the DL. The Nazi guys are going to kidnap Jesse. That will force Hank and Walt to work together.
I like how next week's teaser just both sides staring each other down. C'mon AMC! Did anyone catch Gilligan's one liner regarding what next weeks episode will be about on Talking Bad? I missed it.
Am I the only one that wants Hank and Jesse to live? (Jesse more so that Hank). Over the past few seasons, I really have come to like Jesse. They humanized him so much in the first half of season 5 and the second half. Hell, when he shot Gale he reacted like I think everyone would.
Well, they are obviously having/going to have a major impact on the final episodes of the show in some capacity, so a disservice will likely be done (in your opinion) in some form or another. I do kind of agree that it's an odd, sudden element to be thrown in there to become such a factor in the wrapping of all these major characters. They avoided the wrath of the entire Mexican drug cartel, but are in too deep with a 5-man two-bit white supremacist outfit? Don't get me wrong, I don't consider it implausible or anything. It's just a random way for the show to wrap up.
Didn't Gus wipe out the Mexican Cartel? And Heisenberg took down Gus. If I'm remembering everything correctly, the Cartel is weaker than ever, and Heisenberg and the white supremacists/Lydia are at the top of the food chain. It would be pretty cool to see the Mexican Cartel reorganize and waste everyone while Walt is in hiding though...
Just a heads up, Walt White will be on the Mason and Ireland Show on ESPN Radio LA. You can listen to it on the ESPN Radio website. Mason and Ireland are great and this should be a fun interview. He will be on at 2 pm Pacific. I didn't get a chance to catch last night's episode so I'll listen tomorrow. Just a warning that hey don't care about spoilers so if you haven't see the most recent episode, avoid the interview.
