The gunfight was just odd cause they took out Hugh Jackman's gang in like 10 seconds, while they were in their little desert fort. Guess since it's Hank though they had to make the scene more tense with an extended gun fight that realistically should have been over pretty quickly.
The next episode will probably start with Hank and his partner dead on the ground. No way they survive.
I don't see why they even needed to go there immediately. They could have arrested Walt anywhere. They got the info they needed about the money...there was no immediate rush.
Hank gets away by car, is my prediction. White Power is going to want to kill Walt eventually because he knows their identity/renegs on his meth-cook-mentor-ship deal, and the cops are going to be on the hunt for them, hence his buying a machine gun for protection. Eh, I don't effing know.
The only thing I knew was that Walt survives and doesn't get caught since he was eating bacon in road island. Hank looks to be dead when they said "I love you." I thought he was going to get sniped right at that moment. I hate that I caught up with the series for the last half of season five.
They shouldn't have ended it with such a long gun fight....it should have been over in a couple seconds. Still don't understand how Walt fell for the picture either, disappointed.
BTW, for people who insist that Walt is a "monster", what do they make of the ending? He had an opportunity to call his men to take out Hank, Gomez, and Jesse all at once, but he chose to call them off instead. He was willing to give himself up rather than let Hank -- "family" -- get killed.
He cares about money more than anything, probably more than his family. Same thing that happened to Gus, they found a weakness and they exploited it. Even as calculative Gus or Walt is, if someone strikes that chord the logical thing to do gets thrown out the window because of their emotions.
He still was the person that made the call to begin with, Walt is still the one that put them in that situation. If he REALLY didn't want the coming to save his ass, he wouldda said something like, "never mind, it's not them, I made a mistake." Walt still had a ton of concern in his voice that the "clan" picked up on obviously. Walt may have had some concern for the others, but it also seemed like he was giving up, he was in a corner.
OK, here's my theory. Either Hank or Jesse realizes they have to take Walt hostage. Looks like Jesse was thinking about doing something...maybe he makes a run for the other car vs dying. But Hank is the closest
Here's what happens, Gomie and Hank die by a wave of gunfire. Marie vows to get revenge on Walt for the death of her husband, Hank. You heard it here first. Remember the last episode, Marie told her psychologist that she looked up many different kinds of poisons (shellfish). So I think she secretly plants some type of lethal poison in Walt's food, which ends up killing Skyler or Walt Jr.
How will Jesse run to the SUV without getting caught in the gunfire? There's no way he sneaks around without getting seen. I'm thinking he makes a run for it.
Totally agreed! I knew the Nazis were coming, and I was bracing for Hank's brains to go everywhere at any second. Brilliant episode. I loved every second. These last eight episodes really feel like a walk off home run so far. Hank is obviously dead, and we saw Gomie get shot. 7 days is too long to wait.
I'm rewatching the episode and Walt makes the mistake of telling Uncle Jack is like family to him. They know exactly how to get to Walt when he disappears.
